I Aims:
-By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to listen and read the coversation
of Nga’s family.
-To develop listening and reading skills.
-To educate Ss to know our past and see the development of our society
nowadays

-Past simple tense, prepositions of time.
-Use to + V_bare infi
III. Teaching method:
-Pairs work, groups work, intensive reading and communicative method.

Teacher’s activities
1. Getting started.(7’)
T asks Ss to look at the six pictures on
page 38.
T lets Ss discuss to write the things do not
belong to the past.
T comments and corrects the mistakes to
Ss.

2. Listen and read.(33’)


2.1 Pre- reading
T sets the scene to Ss.
T introduces about the main content of
dialogue to Ss.
Students’ activities
Ss: Look at the pictures on page 38. Write the
names of things that do not belong to the past.
Ss: Work in groups
- The television
- The radio
- The mobile phone
- The light fixture
- Modern clothing / school uniforms
Ss: Listen to T’s introduction.
-Copy down vocab.
