I. Aims and objectives :
* Language content :
- To provide more some new words about food and drink.
- To enable the sts to say about their needs and wishes.
*Language function :
- To help the sts to ask about the price and amount.
*Educational aim :
- To educate in the sts to economize.
1. Language:
a. Vocabulary: - a bowl of noodles; a fried rice; a cake; an ice
cream.
b. Structures: - How much is a sandwich?
It’s two thousand dong.
1. Skills : : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing
2. Educational factor : Knowing the price of goods.
II. Teacher’s and students’ preparation :
1. Method : Communicative Approach
2. Techniques : Explanation, Repetition, using picture, game, pair work
3. Materials needed : Textbook, pictures, cassette player

III. PROCEDURES IN CLASS :
1. Stabilization : 2ms
a) Warm up : Greetings


b) Checking absence: Who is absent today, monitor?

* Questions: - Asks 1 student to write on the board all the English words about
the pictures in B1 on page 119.
- Asks one other one to answer the teacher’s question: What
would you like for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner?

I/ Lead - in :
- Arranges the words following in 2
topics: food and drink.
Water, coffee, fish, meat, beer , egg,
milk, tea, chicken, orange juice,
lemonade, sandwich, rice , noodles,
soda, bananas, vegetables.
- Tells the aim of the lesson to the
teacher.
II/ Pre- Practice:
- Teaches the new words:
+ A bowl of noodles(n) :

+ A fried rice : ( Explanation)
+ A cake (n) : ( picture)

+ An ice – cream (n): ( Picture)
- Checks understanding of the new
words : What and Where.
III/ Controlled- Practice :
*Exercise B4: - Asks the sts to look at
the pictures in B1 and listen to the
cassette in order to find the names of
food and drink mentioned, then
rewrite the letters sticker for them
orderly.
- Has them listen two times. Calls on
some sts to answer
- Has them listen the third time.
Checks , remarks and gives keys.
