Divide the class into two teams, A and B
Choose a word and write the appropriate number of spaces
on the board
Ask two teams to take turn guessing a letter. If a student
guesses correctly, write that letter in the space and give the
student another turn. If a student guesses incorrectly, draw
one line of the hangman picture and have a student from the
other team guess a letter.
The team that correctly guesses the word wins a point.
Ask students with disability guesses the word wins a point.

random order then the activity continues.

sing the chant with <i><b>fox</b></i>. Do the same with <i><b>fish</b></i> and <i><b>frog</b></i>
With music, the whole class sings the whole chant. Do the

Have some pairs come to the front of the classroom and
face each other with their hands behind their backs
Stick a phonics card onto each student’s back
Students have to look at the other student’s phonics card
and be the first to yell out the word. They do this by
moving around and trying to see it.
Repeat the activity with the remaining pairs
