New York’s East Village: A magnet for teens The East Village has all the basic necessities for city living.
There are churches, schools, banks, libraries and a post office. There are supermarkets, drycleaners,


hardware stores, and three universities within a fifteen-minute walk. But these facilities are not what attract
crowds of teenagers day and night, summer and winter. They come looking for entertainment and they get
