Aim and objectives: - After this lesson students can read for general ideas and do the tasks in a limited time. - This lesson provides students more vocabulary about the oceans and the sea life. - Class has time to play game to remember deeply about the undersea world. - This lesson also introduces some areas that involving the oceans such as water pollution and provide more vocabulary as well as structures. II. Language: - Vocabulary concerning undersea world like: sea plant, sea animal, whale, shark, jellyfish, starfish..... Structure: The present simple tense. III. Skills: - Speaking: talk in pairs, in groups. - Reading comprehension: improve students reading skill through vocabulary and exercises. IV. Technique: repetition, explaination,.... V. Teaching aids: board, textbook, chalk, mao, picture, flash-card,... V. Procedure:. Teaching steps and time location I. Warm up (4’). Teacher’s activities Aim: students get used to the topic Competition game: - T divides class into 2 groups, each group chooses 5 Ss to play game. - T gives each group a set of 5 flash-. Students’ activities. - Students work in group. - Five Students reprisentative to play game.

The winner is the group who has the correct answers in the shorted period of time and you’ll receive a small gift. 1. Arctic ocean: Bắc Băng Dương 2. Antarctic ocean (Southern ocean): Biển Nam cực 3. While you read: (17’) Aim: Read the passage for detail to do the tasks  Set the sence: You are going to read a passage about undersea world. Read it and then do the task follow. + Task 1:Fill in each space with a suitable word from the box. - Teacher instruct students some strategies to do task 1: + Read through the sentences in the tasks to identify part of speech of the word to fill in each blank. + Read the first sentence carefully to understand the meaning. Then read the word in te box to chosse the most suitable word. - Students listen Teacher’ s instruction to understand the meaning of words in certain contexts. - Students read the passage and do the task. - Students compare their answer with their partner. - Students answer the questions in orderly..

(1 student/ 1 time). - Students listen teacher’ s requirement to know what they will do. - Students work in group of fous, read the passage again and do the task. - Students underline their supporting ideas. - Students answer : 1. 75% of the Earth’s surface. 2. They do that by using modern devices. 3. They investigate the seabed and bring samples of marine life back to the surface for further study. 4. We canknow a wide range of information, including water temperature, depth, and the undersea population. 5. They are those that live on or depend on the bottom like the starfish, those that move.

After you read: (10’) - Teacher divides class into 2 groups (A and B) - Group A will give the cause of the water pollution. - Group B will give the solution to solve this problem. - Teacher requires Students to write down the main ideas and then go to the board to present .. III. Home work (10’). IV. Self evaluation. - Teacher requires Students to fill in the gaps with the word/ phrase in the box in page 96 to summary the passage.. independtly of water current and those that are carry along by the current. 6. Marine life would be at risk if the sea biodiversity were not maintained.. - Students works in goups, discuss and write down what they know. Students can ask Teacher for some difficult structures to complete their ideas. - Some Students go to the board and present. - Students listen the Teacher’ s require, write down and then do it at home..
