Warm-up: (5’) Ask Ss to say the names of five animals they know in English 2. Presentation: (13’) Task 1: Look, listen and repeat. - Have Ss open your book on page 42 - Ask them to identify the character and talk about the picture of this part - Tell them that they are going to hear Ben and mother talk about the weather - Use the picture in the Ss book or flashcards to present the situation - Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen as they read the lines in the speech bubbles - Play the recording - Play the recording again - Divide the class into two groups repeat each line - Repeat the step a second round, but have the groups swap their parts - Ask a few question to check Ss’ comprehension - Have the whole class repeat each line in the speech bubbles to reinforce their pronunciation Task 2: Present the new words and sentences pattern. - Introduce the new words: animal a tiger.
