Class organization Old lesson Ask Ss to review some greetings they’ve learnt - Review - Listen Comment New lesson Warm-up “Guessing game” - Look Use flashcards of flags about countries - Guess Ask Ss to guess what countries are these Lead in the new lesson: Unit 2 – Lesson 1(1.2) - Listen and write the title Look, listen and repeat. - Look and say: Linda, Akio Ask Ss to look at the picture on page 12 and identify the characters - Listen the scene Set the scene “you are going to listen to Linda and Akio talking about where they are from.” Linda: Hi, I’m Linda. Akio : Hi, I’m Akio. Nice to meet you. Linda: Where are you from? Akio : I’m from Japan. What about you? Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are reading the chant in their books Call on a pair : one of them to repeat each line of the chant, other three clap the syllables Have Ss practice the chant in pairs and clap the syllables. Call on some pairs to recite the chant..
