Class description: 26 boys, 13 girls. All Vietnamese. They are all students and they get on well together as a class. Most of them had actually studied some English at primary schools. II. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:  Use lexical items related to topic " Communication" as: using social media, emailing, video chatting, using telepathy, sending letters( snail mail), meeting face-to- face, having a video conference,...  Understand meaning of the words or phrases as: show up, never mind, oversleep, waiting for ages, get through, “My battery was flat", “Are you kidding?”, "We can try again"  Listen, understand and practice conversation between Phuc and Nick about topic "My battery was flat"  Know these nouns can be used as verbs such as: email => to email/ emailing, text => to text/ texting,.... III. Time: 45 minutes IV. Teaching aids: - Pictures, cassette, tape/ CD, board , textbook and notebook. V. Anticipated problems - Problem : Students the specific information because of some new words - Solution : Support them some new word related to the topic today. VII. Procedure.

Purpose Making class stability and focus on lessons - Review the previous unit. - Rewrite sentences using past perfect: + I was annoyed, as I had missed the school bus + I hadn't seen him when I was a student. - Once student have got the answer -Work in pair to write down the ideas about how people communicate. - Motivate students to the new lesson.. - Look at three pictures in page 38 - Guess and give their answer. - Help students understand the context of the conversation. - Interpret the.
