My name is Tomoni. I’m taking a 12-month English course here in London. I am going to work for a bank, an international in Tokyo when the course finishes. Therefore I need E for my job. When I was at school and at university I studied E. But I had forgotten a lot of it before I came here. Now I have to learn hard to improve my listening, speaking, reading and writing skill. Everyday I write dairy. I also practice writing poems. Sometimes I write letters in English. Listening used to be my biggest problem. It was hard for me to understand people here especially when they talked very quickly. But now it’s getting better. I make use of every chance to speak English with my classmates and my teachers. I listen to the tapes, to English songs and watch TV. I hope I will speak good English after the course..
