I. OBJECTIVES:

1/ Warm-up: (7’)
* Chatting:
- Introduce about the subject.
- Listen carefully.
+ Tiếng Anh 6 giúp các em bước đầu luyện tập để có thể
nghe, nói, đọc, viết được tiếng Anh ở mức độ đơn giản
+ Cuốn Tiếng Anh 6 gốm 16 đơn vị bài học (Units), mỗi
bài học tương ứng với một chủ đề và được chia làm nhiều
tiết học.
+ Điểm: M: 02, 15’: 02, 45’: 02, KTHK: 01
2/ Presentation: (15’)
- Introduce about a period in class.
- Pay attention.
+ Các em sẽ trải qua 1 tiết học với các hoạt động cơ bản:


1. Warm-up: GV dùng tranh ảnh hoặc các câu hỏi có liên
quan đến nội dung bài học
2. Presentation: gồm các mục như: Listen – repeat /
Listen – read
3. Practice: gồm các mục như: Ask – answer/ Practice
with a partner/ True – False/ Match
4. Production: gồm các bài tập khác nhau về nghe, nói,
đọc, viết
3/ Practice: (15’)
- Instruct the way to learn.
- Listen and remember.
1. Ở trường:
 Nghe giáo viên, nghe máy thật kĩ để nắm thơng tin.
 Tập nói theo giáo viên, theo bạn. Nói đúng ngữ điệu.
Mạnh dạn phát biểu bài.
 Nắm vững các điểm ngữ pháp, các cấu trúc câu đã học.
Ghi chép đầy đủ, chính xác.
2. Ở nhà:
 Ơn lại bài học ngay sau khi có tiết học ở lớp.
 Dựa vào từ vựng và cấu trúc đã học để tập nói cùng bạn.
 Tập viết các chữ mới và ôn luyện thường xuyên.


 Ghi từ mới vào sổ tay học tập.

UNIT 1: GREETINGS
SECTION A: HELLO
LESSON 1: A1, 2, 3, 4

I. OBJECTIVES:
After the lesson, students can greet friends and introduce their name.
II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, computer
III. PROCEDURES:
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES
1/ Warm-up: (5’)
* Chatting:
- Ask Ss some questions:
+ Khi em gặp một người thân quen em chào thế nào?
+ Em chào thế nào khi gặp một người chưa quen?
- Lead in the topic of unit 1.

STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES
- Answer.

- Listen T’s introduction.

2/ Presentation: (15’)
- Introduce new words.
I. New words:
 Hello, Hi: Xin chào!, Chào!
 I : tôi

I am = I’m
 My : của tôi
 name (n): tên
 am/ is (to be v): thì/ là
My name is
- Guide Ss to read the new words.
* Rub out and remember:
- Rub out the new word one at a time, and point to the
Vietnamese translation and ask, “What is this in
English?”
- Introduce the structure.
II. Structure:
1. Greetings:
+ Hello (used in common ways)
+ Hi (used for the friends in the same age and closer)
2. Introduce the name:
+ I am/ I’m + name.
+ My name’s/ my name is + name
- Ask Ss to make some example.

- Guess the meaning of the new
words.

- Repeat, read in chorus and then
in individuals.
- Do as teacher’s guide.
- Listen, speak and take note.

- Give example.



3/ Practice: (15’)
- Play the tape two times the content of A1, A3. Then
ask Ss to repeat.
- Ask Ss to practice saying “Hello” and “Hi” and correct
Ss’ pronunciation.
- Ask Ss to work in group of 4 to introduce their name.
- Call some groups introduce their name.
4/ Production: (8’)
- Ask Ss to play “Chain game”.
* Chain game: Ask Ss to greet their friends in chain
reaction.
Eg: S1: Hello, I am Hung
S2: Hello, Hung. My name is Nga. …
5/ Homework: (2’)
- Have Ss:
+ Do exercises: Put the words in the right order:
a. David / hello.
b. my / is / Peter / name / hi.
+ Learn Vocabulary and structures by heart.
+ Prepare A5,A6, A7.

- Listen to the tape and repeat.
- Practice greetings to classmates.
- Practice in groups.
- Present.

- Play game.

- Listen and take note.

I. OBJECTIVES:
- After the lesson, students can ask and answer how people are.
II. PREPARATIONS: Textbook, cassette player, tape
III. PROCEDURES:
TEACHER’S ACTIVITIES

1/ Warm-up: (8’)
* Shark attack:
- Ask Ss to play game in group.
+ Draw a shark and steps of stairs and a girl.
+ Cross the short cues (____ _____ _____ ______ )
+ Give a cue (Khi sinh ra ai cũng có cái này ) (name)
+ Ask Ss to guess the letter, if it is wrong, the girl will be
down one step of the stairs. If the girl comes to the last step,
the shark will eat her.
- Introduce the new lesson.
2/ Presentation: (15’)
 Activity 1:
- Introduce new words.
I. New words:
 How?: như thế nào
 you: bạn/ các bạn/ anh/ chị…
 are (to be v): = am/ is
 And you?: cịn bạn thì sao?
 Fine (adj): khỏe
 Thanks: = Thank you: cảm ơn
 Mr: ông / Miss: cô
* Check vocabulary: R.O.R
- Guide Ss to read the new words.
 Activity 2:
- Explain new structure.

3/ Practice: (12’)
 Activity 1: Dialogue build

- Ask Ss to listen and repeat A5 (twice).

STUDENTS’ ACTIVITIES
- Play in 2 groups as teacher’s
guide.

- Listen T’s introduction.
- Guess the meaning of the new
words.

- Repeat, read in chorus and
then in individuals.
- Listen and repeat.

- Listen and repeat.


- Write all of the dialogue on the board.
- Guide Ss to read, understand the dialogue and rub out
each sentence at one time.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to practice the dialogue.
- Call some pairs read the dialogue loudly.
 Activity 2: Picture drill: (A6- Page 12)
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures in A6 and play roles,
greeting and asking how people are.
- Guide Ss to make the same dialogue as A5, changing the
names.
- Go around and help if necessary.
- Call some pairs to show the dialogues in front of the class.
- Correct if necessary.

4/ Production: (8’)
- Ask Ss to make the dialogue on their own.
- Call on some Ss to make the dialogue with the partner.

- Pay attention.
- Do as teacher’s instruction.
- Work in pair.
- Read the dialogue.
- Make the similar dialogues as
A5 in pairs.
- Work in pair.
- Present the dialogues loudly.
- Make the dialogue in pairs.
- Present.

5/ Homework: (2’)
- Have Ss:
+ Rewrite the dialogue at home.
+ Learn Vocabulary and structures by heart.
+ Prepare B1,2,3,4.

- Listen and take note.
