GRAMMAR
1. The simple present tense – Thì hiện tại đơn
- Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tà một thói quen hay hành động thường xuyên xảy ra ở hiện tại.
- Trạng từ nhận biết: every day, every morning, usually, always, often, sometimes, seldom, never
a) TOBE:
 Khẳng định:
S + am/is/are +…..
 Phủ định:
S + am/is/are + not +…..
 Nghi vấn:
Am/is/are + S+….?
Ex: I am a student?
She is a teacher
We are doctors
I am not a student
She is not = isn’t a teacher
We are not = aren’t doctors
Are you a student?
Is she a teacher?
Are we doctors?
b) With ordinary verbs – Với động từ thường
 Khẳng định:
S + Vs/es
 Phủ định:
S + do not/does not +Vs/es
 Nghi vấn:
Do/Does + S + V?
Ex: I play video games every night
She goes to school on Sundays

I don’t play video games every night
She doesn’t go to school on Sundays
Do you play video games every night?
Does she go to school on Sundays?
* Notes:
+ Với những động từ tận cùng bằng O, CH, S, X,SH, Z chủ từ ngôi số 3 số ít ta phải thêm “es”
Ex: go – goes  He goes to school
watch – watches  She watches TV
+ Những động từ tận cùng bằng “y” ta phải chuyển “y” thành “i” sau đó thêm “es” vào (trước “y” là một
phụ âm
Ex: study – studies  He studies English at school
2. The present progressive tense – Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn
- Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói
- Thường có những trạng từ đi kèm như: now, right now, at the moment, at present, at this time…
 Khẳng định:
S + am/is/are + Ving
 Phủ định:
S + am/is/are + not + Ving
 Nghi vấn:
Am/is/are + S + Ving?
Ex: He is listening to music now
They are playing soccer at the present
He is not listening to music
They are not playing soccer at the present
Is he listening to music?
Are they playing soccer at the present?
3. Modal verbs: Động từ khiếm khuyết
(+) S + can/must + V
(-) S + can not/must not + V
(?) Can/must + S + V?

 Can: có thể (chỉ khả năng)
 Can not = can’t: không thể (không được phép
 Must: phải (chỉ sự cần thiết)
 Must not = mustn’t: khơng cần thiết (chỉ sự cấm đốn)
Ex: My sister can drive a car (Chị tơi có thể lái xe)


I am not fine. I must go to bed now (Tôi không khỏe. Tôi phải đi ngủ ngay bây giờ
4. Adjectives : Tính từ
- Tính từ đứng sau động từ “tobe” và đứng trước danh từ
Ex: The house is beautiful
It is a nice house
5. Prepositions: giới từ
- On : on the street , on the table ,……on + thứ …,
- In : in a house , in the city , in Ba Ria city , in the country …
- At : at home , at school, ………, at + giờ ( chỉ thời gian )
- To the left of / to the right of / in front of / behind / opposite / near / next to / between / among …
6. Articles: Mạo từ
- A/AN (một) – đứng trước danh từ số ít điếm được Ex: a pen, a chair, an armchair, an apple
- SOME/ANY – đứng trước danh từ đếm được hoặc danh từ đếm được ở số nhiều
- Some dung trong câu khẳng định, any dùng trong phủ định và nghi vấn
Ex: I have some books
Are there any flowers in the yard?
7. Question words?
1. Hỏi thăm sức khoẻ:
- Where + do / does + S + work?
- How are you?
→ S + work (s) + nơi chốn.
→ I’m fine, thank you/thanks. And you?

- What is it / this / that?
- How old + be (is / are) + S?
→ It / this / that + is + a/ an + danh từ số ít
→ S + be (am / is / are) + số tuổi + year(s) old.

→ They / these / those are + danh từ số nhiều.

8. Hỏi về số lượng:
his name? → His name is …………
- How many + danh từ đ đ sồ nhiều + are there?

9. Hỏi về người:

4. Hỏi nghề nghiệp:
→ S + be …

10. Hỏi về tầng lầu mấy:
→ S + be + a / an + N (danh từ chỉ nghề nghiệp)

5. Hỏi giờ:
→ S + be + on the first floor.

11. Hỏi về trình độ / lớp học:
+ Giờ đúng (chẵn): It’s + giờ

13. Hỏi về phương tiện đi lại: - How do / does
