Activity 1: Help Ss to know and use the present
simple and present continuous tenses
(structures and examples)
- Ask Ss to give the rule and use of the present
simple and the present continuous tense
themselves. Let them study the grammar box.
- Give more examples if necessary.
- Have Ss study the example first.

- Ask Ss to give the correct form of the verbs.
-Ask Ss to say why to use the tense in each
sentence.

Activity 2: Ss will be able to use grammar by
doing exercises

- Ask Ss to choose the correct tense of the verbs.
- Ask Ss to discuss any common errors and
provide further practice if necessary.
- Ask Ss to underline things that often happen
or are fixed. Then underline things that are
happening now.
- Help Ss to compare Vy’s first week with

b. Skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

background of the schools.
- Ask Ss to complete the table in their
notebooks.

study and live there.
- The school is surrounded by mountains and
green fields.

3. Now read the text again and complete

a mountainous region in Son Dong Dist, Bac Giang
Province.
Vinabrita School: an international school for from
year 1 to year 12 in Ha Noi.
3. Consolidation 4’
- Helping Ss take note the lesson
- Divide the class into groups of 4 or 5, let them
discuss their answers to the questions, and give
reasons.
- Ask some Ss to talk to the class, then the class
give their comments on their friends’ content,
pronunciation, fluency, language, body language,
etc.

- Which school (among the three above)
would you like to go? Why?
- Practice speaking more.
