Cultural
differences
Are the various beliefs, behaviors,
languages, practices and expressions
considered unique to members of a
specific ethnicity, race or national origin.
Some examples of cultural differences as
they pertain to the workplace include
employees who are younger or older than
their co-workers, employees who hold
higher degrees than others in the
workplace and individuals who grew up in
either metropolitan areas or small towns

Culture awareness is being cognizant,
observant, and conscious of similarities and
differences among and between cultural
groups. According to Winkelman (2005),
awareness of cultural differences and their
impact on behavior is the beginning of
intercultural effectiveness.

Culture shock is an experience a person
may have when one moves to a cultural
environment which is different from one's
own; it is also the personal disorientation
a person may feel when experiencing an
unfamiliar way of life due to immigration
or a visit to a new country, a move
between social environments, or simply
transition to another type of life

Conclusion
Through our presentation, we can have a
vise view of the cultural diversity
between countries in many fields such
as differences in fashion, eating or
studying. Not only that, our
presentation gives us ways to limit the
problem of “cultural shock”. Being
aware of cultural differences is a key
point for us. It helps us easily adapt to
the traditional cultures of countries
and not to be overwhelmed.
