LESSON PLAN
Aims: By the end of the class, Ss will be able to:
- (Knowledge) Gain some knowledge the advantages and disadvantages of zoos.
- (Language) Gain some new vocabulary items related to animals.
- (Skill) Ask someone for opinions and show agreement and disagreement.
-Talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the new kind of zoo.
Assumed knowledge: Students have finished the Reading section and they have had
some knowledge of zoos and their characteristics.
Teaching aids: textbook, computer, projector, pictures.

-Warm-up:
-T divides the class into 2
groups A (Tiger) and B (Lion).
-Game: The King
+ Tiger and Lion are trying to
beat each other to become the
King. The one who can finish
the race first will be the winner.
+There are 5 questions “Who
am I?” that each group must try
to answer as quickly as
possible. Each question has
some cues. The group using
fewer cues to answer the
question correctly will have a
chance to move first.

disadvantages. Today, we will
have a deeper look at this

Some advantages of zoos:
+In modern zoos, animals are
placed in enclosures which are

similar to their natural habitats.

shelter, food and medical attention.
+ Recreational spot for the whole
family.
