THE USES
 We

use the present perfect for something
that started in the past and continues in the
present:

use the present perfect when we are
talking about our experience up to the
present:
I have read the Gladfly before

Mary has studied abroad in U.S.A since 2022.

They have finished 2 homeworks and they are
doing the final one (final homework)
This song is the most beautiful song that I’ve ever
heard
I have never seen the Gadfly film before.


THE USES
 We

use the present perfect when we are
talking about for something that happened
in the past but is important in the
present
I cannot go to the university. I haven’t passed the exam
Professor Nguyen is not here. He has gone to Hanoi


FORMULA: S + V + O
S + Has/ Have + V3/ED + O

He, She, It, Lan, Nam, a flower HAS
I, We, You, They, Lan and Nam, flowers HAVE
V3: Irregular Verb ( go-went-gone)
VED: Regular Verb (Want-wanted; Study-Studied)

I have graduated for 1 year
She has graduated for 1 year
The Smith’s children have graduated for 1 year
He hasn’t graduated yet
