Lesson 2 ( A2-A3)
I. Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to use the present progressive to
talk about actions happening now and use question with Wh.
IILanguage contents:
- Grammar: The present progressive tense.
- Vocabulary: wait for and review old vocabulary.
III. Techniques: picture cue drill, wordsquare, ask and answer, pair works, group
works.
IV. Teaching aids: lesson plan, textbook, pictures page 82 and cassette.
V. Time: Allotted 45 minutes.
VI. Procedures:
1. Warm up (5’)- Greeting
- Do you like playing a game?
- Let’s play a game.
- Divide our class into two groups.
- Give some words and ask Ss to make sentences, using the present progressive
tense.
- Control Ss to play a game.
- Correct the mistakes.
a. I / work. a. I am working.
b. She / have / breakfast. b. She is having breakfast.
c. He / go / school. c. He is going to school.
d. John / brush / teeth. d. John is brushing his teeth.
