A. Aim :
By the end of the lesson ss will be able to know about English subject,
its importance and the ways of learning it.
To know structure of the textbook and what they have to do.
B. Procedure :
I. Introduction:
- T introduces ones self.
- Get acquainted with the whole class and the leadership
- Ask some Ss to tell their names (in VietNamese).
II. Introduce the subject:
Do you like learning English?
Why do you like learning English?
What do you do when you have a good English?
Ss anwers.
T sums up and adds some more if its necessary :
Tiếng Anh là môn học rất quan trọng .Học Tiếng Anh để giao tiếp
với bạn bè,để không lạc hậu so với thế giới . Học Tiếng Anh giúp ta sớm có
cơ hội hoà nhập với thế giới vì Tiếng Anh đợc coi là ngôn ngữ thứ hai- ngôn
ngữ giao tiếp của thế giới.
III The structure of book:

Each unit has 5 or 6 periods.
There are three periods everyweek.
The total is 105 periods (54 -the first + 51- the second term).


B, Workbook:
Ask the same textbook.

- There are 2 books that all students must have : Textbook + workbook.

- There are two notebooks :
+ one to take note.
+ other to do homework.
- Prepare new lesson at home ( new words ,read the text, ).

- Talk with friends in English as much as possible.
- Ss should own some more reference books to consult at home by doing
exercises.

their positions.
