Tiết 1:
I. The present simple tense.
1. The present simlpe tense with tobe:(động từ tobe ở thì hiện tại đơn.).
a. Affirmative. (thể xác định).
Tobe : Am , Is , Are (thì , là , ở) được chia theo các đại từ nhân xưng :
Đại từ nhân xưng Động tù tobe Hình thức viết tắt

Ex : I am a student.


He is eleven years old.
b. Negative: (thể phủ định).
BE + NOT
Am _ am not = amnot (ko được viết tắt)
Is _ is not = isn’t
Are _ are not = aren’t
Ex : You aren’t a doctor.
c. Yes – No question:(câu hỏi có không)
Ex: Are you a student? _ Yes , I am
_ No , I amnot.
_ Tobe đứng đầu câu cuối câu có dấu chấm hỏi.
d. Wh_question:
Ex: _ what’s your name? My name’s Lien.
_ How old are you? I’m eleven years old.

II. The present simple tense of ordinary verb.(Thì HTĐ của động từ thường).
1. Affirmative : (thể khẳng định)
S+V_(with out to).
{S = subject : chủ ngữ
{V= verb : động từ .
Ex I live in Gia Lai.
*Với chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ 3 số ít thì động từ phải thêm “s” hoặc “es”.
Ex : He lives in Viet Nam.
Nam says “hello” to his classmate.
*Các động từ tận cùng bằng : O , X , S , CH , SH ta phải thêm “ES”.
EX: Lan goes to school every day.
She watches TV every night.
*Các động từ tận cùng bằng Y ta chuyển Y thành I rồi thêm “es”.
Ex : to study _ studies
*Các động từ còn lại ta thêm “s”.
2. Negative : (thể phủ định)
S + DON’T / DOESN’T + V (inf)
Don’t = do not
Doesn’t = does not
Ex : She doesn’t live in Gia Lai.
I don’t have money.

3. Yes_No question:
DO / DOES +S +V(inf)?
EX: Do you play tennis? _Yes , I do . / No , I don’t.
Does he live in Chuprong? _ Yes , he does . / No , he doesn’t.
4. Wh_question:
WH_ + DO / DOES + S + V(inf)?
Ex : Where do you live? _ I live in a village.
III. How many:
HOW MANY + N (số nhiều) + ARE THERE ? : có bao nhiêu?
Ex : How many students are there in your class?
There are forty.

I . The time :
_ We say the time into two ways.
1. Giờ + phút
Ex : It’s eight o’clock. 8 giờ đúng

It’s eight twenty : 8 giờ 20 phút

Past : quá
To : kém
A quarter : 15 phút
Half : 30 phút
Ex : It’s a quarter past two : 2:15

There are three verbs of tobe: am , is , are.
Negative of tobe: be + not

_ động từ tận cung bằng S , X , CH , SH , O thì ta thêm ES.
_ các động từ còn lại thêm S.
* Câu hỏi và câu phủ định ta phải mượn trợ động từ DO / DOES .
_ I / you / they / we + do ( phủ định: do not = don’t)
_ He / she / it + does ( phủ định : does not = doesn’t).

Tiết 1,2: GRAMMAR
I. The present simple tense: ( thì hiện tại đơn).
1. The way to use:
We use the present simple tense for:
_ thoughts and feelings.(sự suy nghĩ và cảm xúc).
_ states , things staying the same , facts and things that are true for a long time.(trạng
thái , những sự việc vẫn giống nhau, những sự kiện có thật trong một thời gian lâu.).
_ repeated actions.(những hành động được lặp lại.).
_ in phrases like: I promise , I agree ………
_ in a negative question with WHY to make a suggestion (lời đề nghị).
Ex: I am a student.
She is tall.

He plays soccer very well.
2. Revision : LKE (a preposition):là một giới từ có nghĩa “giống”.
*What + be + S + like? : được dùng để hỏi về chất lượng hay tính tình .
Ex: What is your teacher like?
What is the party like?
*What + do + S + look like ? được dùng để hỏi về hình dáng bên ngoài (diện mạo).
Ex : What does your teacher look like?
He is tall and thin.
* “S + look like + N”: dường như .
Ex: It looks like rain. ( trời dường như sắp mưa)
*LIKE: giống (một giới từ).
Ex : He is just like his father .(anh ấy giống như cha anh ấy).
II. TOO / ENOUGH + ADJ / ADV + INF .
1. ENOUGH (đủ): bao hàm nghĩa xác định.
a. Enough (an adjective): là một trạng từ , đúng trước hoặc sau một danh từ.
Ex: He has enough time to do that work.
He has time enough to do that work.
( anh ấy có đủ thời gian làm công việc đó.)
b. Enough (an adverb).là một trạng tư , đúng sau một tính từ hay một trạng từ khác.
Ex: He is old enough to take the driving test.
The man ran fast enough to catch the bus.
c. Adj / Adv + enough + infinitive.
Ex: She isn’t old enough to be in my class.
(cô ấy không đủ lớn để học lớp tôi.)
He studies hard enough to past the exam.
(anh ấy học chăm chỉ đủ để đậu).
2.TOO (quá): phản nghĩa của enough , va bao hàm nghĩa phủ định. Too chỉ sự vượt
mức qui định hay giới hạn.
Ex: It’s too hot. (we can’t stand it.)
* “too + adj / adv + inf”: “…… quá đến nổi / độ ……….”.

Ex : The shoes are too small to wear.
(Giày quá nhỏ không thể mang được.)
The tea is too hot to drink.
(Trà quá nóng không thể uống được.)
He speaks too slightly to hear.
(Anh ta nói quá nhỏ không thể nghe được.)
Đôi khi sau ENOUGH / TOO + ADJ / ADV có “FOR + NOUN”.
Ex: The tea is too hot for me to drink.
Bill speaks too slightly for the teacher to hear.
(Bill nói quá nhỏ đến độ giáo viên không thể nghe được.)
ở cấu trúc này , NOUN theo sau FOR là chủ từ của infinitive.
III. EMPHATIC FORM (dạng nhấn mạnh): Để nhấn mạnh động từ của câu , chúng ta
viết động từ DO trước đó .
Ex : He does like tea.( Anh ấy thích trà )
I do enjoy telling jokes. ( Tôi thích thú kể chuyện đùa.)
_khi nói hoặc đọc, chúng ta nhấn mạnh động từ DO.

I. The past simple with “wish” :
Thì quá khứ đơn được dùng sau Wish để diễn tả một ước muốn ở hiện tại. Ước muốn
này không thể thực hiện được.(trái ngược với hiện tại).
Ex : I’m not rich. _ I wish I were rich .
I can’t speak English fluently. _ I wish I could speak English fluently.
II. Preposition of time: ( giới từ chỉ thời gian).
1. One point of time: (một điểm thời gian).

*At : giờ trong ngày hoặc một phần của ngày.
Ex: at five o’clock ; at noon (vào lúc giữa trưa); at midnight (voà lúc nửa đêm);at night;
at the weekend (vào cuối tuần); at Christmas; at Easter (vào lễ phục sinh); at the
moment / present (vào lúc này , hiện tại).
*In : tháng , năm, một phần của ngày, mùa:
Ex: in September ; in 1977; in the morning / afternoon / evening; in the twenty – first
century (voà thế kỷ 21); in the 1970s (vào những năm 1970); in the spring / summer /
fall / winter ; in the Middle Ages (vào thời Trung Cổ).
*On : ngày trong tuần hoặc ngày tháng.
Ex : on Sunday; on Monday; on Monday evening; on 5
th
March.
2. Duration of time :(khoảng thời gian kéo dài).
*Since : kể từ khi:
Ex : I haven’t seen him since Monday.(từ thứ hai cho tới giờ tôi không thấy nó).
*By : trước, trể nhất.
Ex : I can see you by Monday.(Tôi co thể gặp bạn trước ngày thứ hai;trể nhất là ngày
thứ hai).
*From …………to … : ( or Until / till): từ …… đến………
Ex : From dawn to dusk (từ rạng đông đến chập tối);till six o’clock (cho mãi đến sáu
giờ); from morning till night (từ sáng đến tối).
*For : trong.
Ex : He has been working very hard for many weeks.(Nó đã làm việc cật lực trong
nhiều tuần lễ - cho đến bây giờ vẫn còn làm.)
*During : trong suốt.
Ex : during my absence (trong suốt thời gian tôi vắng mặt); during the week (trong suôt
tuần lễ).
*In or Within : trong vòng.
Ex : She returned in / within an hour. (cô ấy đã trở lại trong vòng một giờ.)
3. Sequenceoff time – Events that follow one another:( dòng thời gian – các biến cố

tuần tự theo nhau.)
*Befor : trước
Ex: I will see you befor Wednesday.(tôi sẽ gặp bạn trước ngày thứ tư.)
*After : sau khi.
Ex: He usually goes to bed after dinner.(anh ấy thường đi ngủ sau bữa ăn tối.).
III. Adverb clauses of Result.(Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ kết quả.)
So là một liên từ được dùng để diễn tả một kết quả liên quan đến một hành động.
Ex: He didn’t work hard. He failed the exam.
He didn’t work hard so he failed the exam.
(Nó không học tập chăm chỉ vì thế nó đã rớt kì thi.).
Ngoài ra để diển tả mối tương quan giữa nguyên nhân và kết quả, chúng ta có thể áp
dụng các cấu trúc sau:
1. SO:
*SO + ADJ + THAT:
He was so tired that he fee asleep.(Nó mệt quá đến nỗi nó ngủ thiếp đi.)
*SO + ADV + THAT.
That foreigner spoke English so fast that nobody could understand her.
(Người nước ngoài ấy nói tiếng Anh thật nhanh đến nỗi chẵng ai hiểu được cô ta)
*SO + MANY or FEW + cout NOUN + THAT.
She had so many problems that she could not concentrate.
(Cô ấy gặp thật nhiều vấn đề đến nỗi cô ấy không thể tập trung được.)
There were so few tickets sold that the concert was cancelled.
(Có quá ít vé được bán nên buổi hoà nhạt bị huỷ bỏ.)
*SO + MUCH or LITTLE + non cout NOUN + THAT.
The storm caused so much damage that the people were forced to leave their
homes.
(Cơn bão gây ra quá nhiều thiệt hại nên dân chúng buộc phải bỏ nhà ra đi.)
They had so little interest in the project that it failed.
(Họ chẵng mấy quan tâm đến đề án nên nó đã bị thất lạc.)

*SUCH + ADJ + PLURAL COUNTNOUN + THAT .
They were such good students that they did very well on the TOEFT test.
(Họ là những học sinh thật giỏi nên đã làm quá tốt bài trắc nghiệm TOEFT.)
*SUCH + ADJ + NON – COUNTNOUN + THAT.
