Many families owned one or more of Shakespear’s works, a copy of John Bunyan’s classic “A
Pilgrim’s Progress”, and sometimes collections of English literary essays, poems, or historical

the eighteen century in most cities and large towns. In spite of the informal atmosphere of most
American schools, the literacy rate in the colonies of mid-eighteenth century America was equal to or
higher than that in most European countries.
Before the American Revolution, nine colleges had been founded, including Harvard, Willia and
Mary, Yale; the College of New Jersey ( now Princeton ), Brown, Rutgers, Dartmouth, and King
College ( later Columbia University ). By 1720 the natural sciences and modern language were being

68. EX: In my life, I have read many books. To my view, Harry Potter is one of the most
interesting books not only for children but also for adult. There are three main reasons: attractive,
imaginative , and educative.Firstly, no sooner do you start reading the book than you will be carried
into story. When HP was in the day of beginning of term of Hogwart, when HP had to face to
Voldemort, you could not guess what would happen next. Therefore, before the seventh chapter of HP
was introduced, people had designed many website only to predict the ending of story. However, most
of people are forecast wrong. And you still will find it suprised until finishing reading the
book.Secondly, J.K.Rowling wrote an imaginative story. When you come to the magical world of HP,
you will see aggresive dragons, huge people. You could sit onto a magical broom in order to fly and
experience the feeling of a bird. You could attend Snatch matches and try to gain the victory in the
battle of four rival buildings: Grinffidor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. Finally, HP include an
educative meaning. Through the story, you will find the warming love between HP and his parents, the
honest friendship of HP, Ron, and Hermione; and the brave of Mr.Snape. There are remain many
respectable other relationships. It makes us understand that we have to more respect and more love our
surrounding relatives. In brief, I personally think that HP is a wonderful story. When closing the final
page of its, I was under impression on its attraction, imagination, and education.
