listening purpose: You are going to listen and match the boy/
girl to his/ her address.
- Get Sts to look at the characters and identify them.
- Have Sts repeat the characters’ names (Alex, Paul, Jim,
Jenny) a few times.
- Point to the pic under each character, elicit Sts’ answers to

questions: Where is this house? What number is it?
- Have Sts to repeat the numbers: 38, 52, 26, 73 (x3)
- Tell them to make guesses where the characters live before
playing the recording.
- Do the first example wit sts. Play the recording twice.
- Replay the recording to check. Get them to correct their
answers in pairs. Ask Sts to report the answers to the class, if
