Introduction
Today, globalization and international integration has become an objective trend in
the process of world economic development. The process of globalization and
international economic integration have created favorable opportunities for
countries. The businesses have the opportunity to develop, they also brings great
challenges of competition and ability to attract the market. To have the position in
the market and meet the requirements of consumers with high quality products,
reasonable prices, the enterprises should closely monitor the stages from the first
stage to the last stage of the producing process, from finding the source of raw
material to finding the target markets. It can result to ensure effective working
capital, improve live standard of workers and bring benefits to the enterprise.
Therefore,

competitiveness in the market, the enterprises must build an effective, stable and
solid management apparatus at all sides: the management areas from production to
consumption products along with financial management, accounting and auditing
activities, and human resources management… Because admin activity plays an
important role in deciding the survival and development of the enterprises so the
firms need to build rational and effective management plans and inspect regularly to
adjust and complete administrative operations. They also need to coordinate
activities among departments in order to perform management functions which can
provide the best performance.
After a period of research and practical work, I realized particularly important role
of business management activities in the company. With the enthusiastic guidance
of Master Nguyen Thi Minh Huyen, the enthusiastic help of Dai Tien Manh
company, I decided to report the internship period to the topic: “ Analysis of
business administration at Dai Tien Manh services and trade joint stock
company ”.

On my report about internship period, it’s my privilege to thank for all the people
who contributed to make this period a great experience for my life. If not for the
commitment of them, from arranging training establish selections to the end of
entire 6 weeks, it would not be this much interesting.
I sincerely thank to the help of the company in the course of practice. During the
internship period, with the help and enthusiastic support of the company, I
understood the business administration activities, I had the opportunity to apply the
knowledge in schools to the actual process. It helps me with the practical experience
before graduation. From there, I had an insight view about business administration
apparatus in the enterprise which help me complete my internship report.

about the time and procedures for me in the internship period.

I perceive as this period as a milestone in my knowledge development. I will strive

2. History of the business establishment:

Dai Tien Manh services and trade joint stock company was established on 01-082007 and operated on 03-08-2007.
After more than 8 years of operation, the company has made great transformation in
the business, the company's main product is the Korean imported fabrics, beddings
(blankets, quilts, draps, pillows, mattress)… Besides, the company also produces
the blankets, pillows, cushions and clothes to serve domestic customer needs.
3. Enterprise scale:

Dai Tien Manh company is directly managed by Tax department of Hanoi. The
charter capital is 5.000.000.000 VND, the company's capital is preserved and
increases with the growth of the company. Annually, the company manufactures
products on a large scale to bring in revenue and high profits. Besides the raised
fund of Dai Tien Manh company, the firm also built a good relationship with the
Bank so the Bank can supported more effectively the capital for production and
business activities.
Annual revenues of the company have reached more than 15 billion VND and the
annual profit have reached more than 2 billion VND (in the last 5 years)
From 2010 to now, the number of employees in the company increased from 20
people to 28 people. (100% university level)

4. Functions and duties of the business:

Developing an organizational mission and support the mission statement has one
main purpose, which is to guide organizations to achieve competitive advantage.
These claims will make strategic step for the organization, give the strategic goals
and the motivation for those cared about the process of implementation and
development of the strategy. The missions and orientations of enterprises indicated
that “where we are going", "why it is so important" and "what we will do around
this problem". The statements also help employees and customers to understand the
difference between company and the competitors. The competitive advantage of
enterprises are also mentioned in these statements, so the staff, suppliers, partners
and customers can clearly see why enterprises are different special and better than
competitors (in some specific field).

aspects of the company. She directs the task performance, builds production and

Vice-director: This is an assistant of director with operating functions of issuing
the directives for specific areas. He is responsible for the management, technical ,
the quality of administration, supervision and monitoring implementation of

occupational safety for officers and employees.
Organization and Administration department: Organizing and managing the
administrative governance in the company, which serves to create favorable
conditions for the departments and units, the unions and workers to perform their
assigned tasks. Especially, they have the responsibilities for the arrangement of
work, management of equipment, purchase of stationery, managed and used cars

under the command of director.
Accounting and Financial department: This department is responsible for
monitoring the financial revenues and expenditures, import – export - in stock of
supplies and preparing tax reports, financial statements and financial situation of

management in the company.
Business department: This department is tasked to closely follow market, quotes
the suitable materials and time for the market to meet customer needs. They develop

the business plan in current and in future. The main objective is the bridge between

business and consumers.
Engineering and production department: They are technical management of
product quality, management of construction equipment and labor safety for
company. They guide the technical safety and quality of labor protection, inspect
and handle the violations.

market needs, sourcing material, organization and sales promotion...

According to the statistics of product consumption in 2013 and 2015, we realize that
the situation of sales rise dramatically such as Sets of Bedding and Korean Imported
Fabrics. That brings huge revenue to the company.
2. Marketing policy:

Marketing today play a central role in the shift of customer information into new
products and services, then locate them on the market. The new products and
services are the answer of the company due to the change in customer preferences
and also the strength of competition. Customer needs change, companies must
innovate to satisfy and meet the needs of customers. As a result, the roles of modern
marketing are:

Identifying customer needs, establish and lead the process of innovation.
Coordinating with other research and development to accelerate the process of
implementation of new products. It is the most important factor affecting the

success of a product.
o Help businesses identify new trends, quickly become levers, turning them into
opportunities, help for the development of strategic and sustainable growth of the
company.
o Moving from pursuing sales viewpoint to creating customer viewpoint. Previously,
manufacturers or service providers always chasing customers, now they know to go
ahead, catch up with their customer’s needs, proactively respond to this demand.

Even, they actively elicit customer needs; provide quality products with reasonable
price suit to each subject; create a bridge between customers and manufacturers,
avoid raising prices which manufacturers cannot control.
Traditional marketing only pay attention to the transaction. But modern marketing
also focuses on the relationships with customers. The old attitude makes business
become more crude and pragmatic, but no depth and durability. The new
perspectives pay attention on building, nurturing relationships with customers, as a

result, the total investment transactions declined but increased efficiency. Thus, the
modern marketing pay great attention on creating long-lasting relationships with
customers.
Philip Kotler has emphasized: "In modern marketing, in parallel with the design of a
best marketing mix for sale, increasingly tend to focus more on the design the
bestcustomer relationship systems to win and keep customers".
Instead of evaluating the effectiveness marketing by increase the sales, today the
most important criteria to modern marketing is the invisible factor, which is the
"best satisfy customer needs"and “maintain maximum customer loyalty."
The modern marketing has influenced on perceptions, behavior of the entire
marketing industry. New battle of the company is to win in the minds of customers,
win the "top of mind" of customers. This change has led to new working methods
and new approaches, more cloning and sophisticated. Moreover, modern marketing
ideas also affect the behavior of manufacturers and service providers with the
subcontractors and their distributors. They begin to consider subcontractors and
distributors as partners instead of as clients and treated respectively according to the
win - win principle.
Marketing activities are considered as basic strategy of the company, it effects to
production planning as well as remaining activities of the company.

2.1. Product policy:

The product is a satisfy customer demand answer for consumer demand. Therefore,
the success of marketing strategy lies firstly in the company's product or services.
Product strategy has always maintained a leading important position in marketing
strategy.
The company always concerned about the quality and the health of consumers, used
non-toxic materials and interested in processing their products to reach the highest
safety level. The company identified that the trust of customers derived from the
perception about the quality products. Therefore, the company invests technological

innovation continuously, improves constantly product design for diversity. Product
quality is improved, along with the warranty from 1 to 15 years.
2.2. Pricing policy:

Price is an important factor affecting the results of its business activities. Strategic
pricing will decide the price of business. For its products, the specified price has
tremendous impact to business operations of the business because:
o Price affects product sales volume. Price is one of the very important criteria of
purchasing and options of the customer.
o Prices have strong impact on earnings due to the profitability of the business.
Although in today's market in terms of price competition has ceded the top spot for
the competition in quality, but the price still plays an important role for Dai Tien
Manh company, particularly in market economy of Vietnam in the current period.
In common strategic plan in present and for the next few years, Dai Tien Manh
company has focused on research; study the common market and the competitors to
set reasonable and effective pricing policies. Shown in the pricing of the bedding

products, the company has applied flexible and reasonable price policies based on
demand and the solvency of the retailers and the customers. In details:
o

Company applies unified pricing policy across the country for each type of
distribution channels such as dealers, retailers ... irrespective of geographical. They

also apply online delivery policy to distributors as an agent.
o There are special policies for hotel systems, business services, ... such as discounts,
discount for each shipment...
o For the price to consumers, the company depends on the pricing competition,
credibility and solvency of each client.
2.3. Distribution policy:
o

The main distribution channels include the following:
Distribution through the agents system spread over the Northern areas. In 2015, this

distribution channel accounted for 60% of sales.
o Direct distribution via retail outlets to consumers of the company. In 2015, this
distribution channel accounted for approximately 25% of sales.

Distribution via supermarkets. In 2015, this distribution channel accounted for

approximately 13% of sales.

o Exports to countries in the region. In 2015, this channel accounts for about 2% of
sales.
2.4. Sales promotion policy:

Promotion strategy is an important part of the marketing strategy in business of
each enterprise. Firstly, it enables manufacturers to sell more, better satisfy the
needs of the customer. Besides, through communication and promotion, the
producers also had an impact on changing consumption structure to suit the change
of science and technology and inspire demand.
Communication is an essential activity in the business. Good communication, good
handling vertical, horizontal relationships will not only help businesses sell more
goods, but also strengthen their forces. The promotion is an art and a method to
inform about the goods, affects the buyer, entices buyers on their side, and supports
the sales. For Dai Tien Manh company in particular and textiles industry in general,
promotion is necessary.
To promote business activities with good effect, the company sets the sales
promotion policy to increase competitiveness in the market, to stimulate consumer
demand and to boost consumers buy more and more, specific:
o The advertising strategy to introduce the product on the media. Through advertising
helps customers know the products more, especially for new products. Therefore,
within the existing financial, DTM has adopted the form of "address advertising".
This form of advertising is targeted at selective customers with high efficiency
which can save costs. However, with this advertising form, DTM must have a
dynamic, solid and good communication skills team. DTM needs to invest more for
advertising because the advertising activities of DTM are very limited, due to
narrowed funding, the reputation of DTM is not known very well. Advertise unique,
attractive, but have to be honest and true to reality. There are so many
communication forms to inform the product to customers. In the era of information

technology development, the optimal media is the Internet. This form has almost no
cost or very little cost but the perversion is extremely strong.
o Direct marketing: Most companies rely on advertising, promotion and personal
selling. They use advertising, public relations to generate awareness, interest and
preference, promotions to stimulate buying and individual selling. Direct marketing
is to lead to direct sales without intermediaries. There are two main features to
distinguish direct marketing with other marketing forms. The first is the attempts to
send a message directly to consumers without using the non-direct media. It uses a
form of commercial communication (direct mail, email, telephone offer ...) with
customers or business. The second characteristic is the emphasis on the positive
feedback that can be tracked and measured from customer. Direct marketing has
many forms. However, DTM just use some form of the following:
 Door to Door Marketing: This is one of the forms that bring the best performance.
This method is implemented at each household in some new buildings such as
Thang Long No.1, Thanh Binh Building, Hoa Phat building in Hanoi... To
implement this strategy, most of DTM personnel were mobilized from marketing
group to sales and PR group. This is a long-term strategy because it take a lot of
time for employees to introduce and promote to hundreds households.
 DTM also regularly uses other strategies like telemarketing or mail directing. It is
the daily work of the sales group. They will have to send mail or call directly to
each individual to inform service and invite the customer to buy. Obtaining
customer database is quite hard. Besides the contact can be found on network such
as Facebook, most potential contact must buy from other companies with high

price.
The customer care services, aftermarket services to create the trust, reputation with


customers.
o The promotional activities for receiving prizes or discounts for intermediaries and
consumers in the special occasion. To DTM, winter is the low season, often starting
from August to February of next year. This is also the period that marketing have to
work most to attract customers. DTM also held many cultural, artistic programs and

entertainment to attract customers such as open buffet party on 8/3 or gifts at
Christmas ... This is a very good occasion to promote the image of the company
o Participating in fairs and exhibitions in order to promote further products.
3. The competitors:

Because consumer demand increasing and competition increasingly fierce, many
companies in bedding field constantly seek to penetrate the market. Therefore,
enterprises are required to promptly grasp the dynamics of consumer demand, to
meet this demand the best and better than competitors in the industry. The company
produces consumer goods and industrial goods in diversity of product categories so
the competitions and the competitors are varied and complex, namely:
o

Direct competitors: From the famous brand in bedding field such as Hanvico,
Vikosan, SongHong, ABC, Everon, Miranda, … to the small and craft producers
with low price. Companies have to face with the fierce market competition, as well
as occupy, maintain and improve market share. At the same time, the company has

to create the belief, the brand firmly in the hearts of consumers.
o Competing against potential rivals: The product is capable of replacing traditional
products such as air bed mattresses, bed slightly, waterbed ... this will threat some

groups of market share to reduce consumption of the company as well as affecting
the consumption products of companies in the same field. In the process of
economic integration in the world, the branch of the corporation or foreign
companies (especially China) could open up operations in Vietnam, that increased
the huge competitiveness for businesses in the same sector of Vietnam including
Dai Tien Manh company.
So, in the changing business environment, companies must have an appropriate and
practical strategy to bring benefit to the development of the company.
II.
The situation of human management:
1. Analyzing the labor structure of the business:
Total current employees of the company is 28 people. University degree and above
accounted for 100%. Age of human resources of the company is very young, over
80% of employees under 30 years old with average seniority of employees is 3

years. With these features, the workforce ensures to the long-term development of
the company.

2. Human resource policies:

Dai Tien Manh company orients the development with focusing on people, products
and steady administrative system. In particular, the contribution of staff to operate
the apparatus of the company is the most important factor in the success of the
competition and development.
With the motto: All officers and employees have equal opportunity, every positions
in company are always opened to qualified employees. The company strives to
motivate employees who can promote all their ability and capacity to contribute
effectively to the operations of the company.

For indirect jobs: The managers and staffs of departments are conducting to pay for

The sale staffs are paid according to revenue. It includes the basic salary and the
bonus of revenue.
Along with wages, the Company also implements the insurance premiums for
employees under the current provisions of the Social Insurance Law.
Besides the policy on salaries and allowances, the company also develops the
welfare and compensation systems which is commensurate with the level of
dedication of employees and the competition in the labor market. Employees are

entitled to the remuneration and benefit policies such as:
Getting the annual health checks.
Gifts for the workers and employees on the anniversary, holidays, Independence

Day, or Day of the company traditions.
The workers and employees go sightseeing to increase unity, create a better work
ethic.

General review of business administration in enterprise:
1. An overall assessment of the administration:
DTM company is a commercial and production enterprise. Therefore, to manage
effective business activities, the Company must use simultaneously and effectively
the various management tools, ie the combination of the parallel development in

governance, namely consumption and marketing, human resource management,
resource management of materials for production, management of accountancy and
financial of the company. In the course of business activities, the company
constantly improve and enhance governance in all aspects so the production and
business activities of the company is stable and sustainable development.
Requirements of the enterprise management system must regularly inspect, analyze,
calculate and consider the choice of the business plan for production optimization.
The company launched the evaluation of the work results, drawn the deficiencies,
the cause affecting the work to devise corrective measures, promptly handling in
order to improve economic efficiency.
2. Evaluate the advantages and limitations:
- About the business and marketing management:

The business marketing management has many advantages. The company is aware
of the importance of marketing activities, so the company has the proper attention to
this activity. Many activities are focused such as customer care, promoting the
image of the company. The company has taken the appropriate marketing policies
aimed at promoting consumption of products and expanding markets. In particular,
the policies on product and price have always been focused in order to create the
best products with the most reasonable prices and provide comfort for consumers.
Besides, the reasonable distribution policy of each product on the different
distribution channels can create maximum revenue for the company.
Beside the advantages, it has some limitations. Market research has not been
promoted. The number of employees in the business department is too thin to be in
charge of the northern market. The customer comments about the quality of
products or services of the Company have not been carried and understood deeply.
In addition, the investment and construction budgets for business is too little, not

meet all the demands of the job.

About the human resource management:

The advantages of Human resource management is that the leader of company
always concerned about the human resources management. Recruitment through the
form of internal and external recruitment ensure the necessary labor for production
quality and meet basic required content of work. Moreover, the allocation of the
company are very reasonable with properly trained professions, qualifications and
competence of employees. The company has always carried out properly and fully
the provisions of the State on the issue of salaries and other benefits for employees.
In addition, the company has policies to encourage employees to work and they are
facilitated to develop the ability and creativity. Besides, the company also sets up
training programs to build the capacity of staff and technical workers.
It also has some limitations. The evaluation of human resources is not very good.
Some positions are not consistent with the possibility of the workers or workers
with low qualifications do not meet the job requirements. Special remuneration
policy of the Company is not really attract the skilled technicians.
3. Some recommendations to improve organization management and business

administration activities:
In recent years, the company has made significant development in changing the
structure of business management apparatus and it had considerable success.
However, the business management of the company still needs to be improved to
adapt to current conditions. Firstly, the company needs to deploy and apply the
advanced management models in order to improve the operational efficiency of

business administration. Leadership must be good governance to be able to improve
the efficiency of business operations. At the same time, companies should organize
collecting opinions of employees in the company to serve the completion of
business management activities in all fields.
To complete marketing activities, DTM must build an appropriate organizational
structure and support fully for marketing activities. Active sales and marketing
activities must always be incorporated together and support each other to bring
more benefits. Having a reasonable budget will determine the size and quality of the
company's marketing activities. It must improve marketing research and marketing

intelligence to grasp timely the opportunities and risks in the business. At the same
time, it should increase spending on the sales to maintain and expand market share.
The feedback of customers is also very important. The company collects feedback
from customers about the quality of products and services in order to continuously

To complete human resource managent, company should conduct forecasting and
analyzing the demand, along with make specific plans to take the initiative in
recruitment and training as a basis for recruitment activities. They should have
regular training projects each year, especially during peak seasonal periods to raise
the level of employees. At the same time, the company needed a better policy to
encourage, motivate employees and attract labor force and technicians skilled work.

Chapter 3: Internship target, the content of work assigned and the

implementation methods:
1. Internship target:
After 4 years of college, each student had accumulated for self a certain amount of
knowledge, but if they do not have environment to practice, apply the theory
learned, it will not achieve the best results. Especially for students of international
business, if there are no realistic exposure conditions as well as the basic work
skills, they will face many difficulties in future work.
Therefore, the internship period is very important for each student. The time of
more than one month is a great opportunity for each student to interact and become
familiar with the work environment in the workplace, as well as office work.
Moreover, students have condition to apply the knowledge learned in school to
practical work, learning more experienced, add shortcomings to improve the skills
they have learned at university over the years. After graduation internship, each
student will have business skills and more clear orientation on future job. This is the
very important first step to help students not confused and crestfallen before the
new job.
My main objective when decided to have an internship semester at DTM., JSC is to
learn more about the skills and knowledge of making business process in
international environment and designing marketing plan for the company. The next
objective is to evaluate and recognize all of the advantages and disadvantages in the
service providing process of DTM, in order to have some personal opinions and
