picked up a stone and threw it at Mohtar. Soon the two boys were fighting.
Then an old man came along. He looked unhappy. “Stop fighting boys,” he said “Stop
fighting and help me.”
The boys stopped fighting.
“How can we help you? ” Mohtar said.
“I’m looking for my black bag. It’s made of old cloth,” the old man said. “I
dropped it on this road.”
Amir picked up the bag, “Is this it?” he asked.
“Yes, that’s it “ the old man said. “Thank you very much.”
“Is there any money in it?” Mohtar asked.
“Money? No, there is no money in it,” the old man said with a laugh.
“I have no money. This bag is full of buttons, I’m a tailor. It’s my button bag.”
The old man looked at the two boys. They were dirty and their clothes were torn.
He opened his bag.
“ Your coats are torn,” he said “ Have a few buttons.”
