I. Aim: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: identify toys, and ask
and answer questions about toys. Pronounce the sounds in the letters /o/
in word dog, /o / in word parrot correctly.

Warm up: Sing the song
A. Basic activities
1. Listen and repeat
- Teacher introduces the two letters
- Teacher play the tape, students listen
- Ask students repeat the words
- Calls some sts to read. Correct their mistakes
2. Listen and write
- Have Ss look at the table.
- Ask Ss to listen the tape carefully then write the word they can hear
- Play the tape 3 times, ask Ss to work in pairs in 4 mins to write
- Call 2 Ss to write their words on the board.
- Check and correct mistakes
- Ask Ss to read aloud 2 sentences
B. Practical activities
3. Let’s chant
- Teacher introduces the chant
- Play the tape. Ask students to read each sentence in the chant
- Play the chant again and asks students to read
- Ask students to read the song, combine with slap their hands.
- Divide class into groups to compete together.
C. Application activities
Practice the chant at home.

5. Read and write
- T explains the situation and how to do the exercise
- Ask students to read the paragraph and write the answers on the blank.
- Work in pairs to do the exercise then practice in pairs in front of the
whole class. The Ss listen to and give the remark.
- Correct the pronunciation.

Lesson 1. 1, 2, 3
I. Aim: By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to ask and answer about
toys.
II. Language content
1.Vocabulary: ship, truck, kite, plane, train
2. Sentence pattern: What toys do you like? - I like ships.
3. Skill: speaking and listening
III. Resources and teaching aids: teacher’s and student’s book,
projector, CD, pictures…
IV. Techniques: ask and answer, role play, rub out and remember
V. Procedure
Warm up: Slap the board the vocabulary learnt.
A. Basic activities
a. New words
- Teacher presents students some new words: ship, truck, kite, plane, train
- Teacher plays the tape and students repeat these words.
- Teacher reads again and then calls some students to read aloud. The
others listen and give comments about their friend’s pronunciation.
- Teacher correct students’ mistakes
- Ask students to take note
- Give students to play the game “rub out and remember” to check their
vocabulary

- Ask students to look at the pictures in the book and work in pairs
- Call some pairs to act out
- Correct their pronoun
