Period 87: LISTENING
I.

Objectives
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Listen and talk about the World Cup, especially about Pelé – a very legendary
football player.
- Learn more vocabulary, both meaning and pronunciation.
- Develop listening skills: + listen for main idea and specific information
+ take notes while listening
+ summarize main ideas.
-Feel more excited about listening about Pelé – a very legendary football player.

I.Warm-up (4 minutes)

students to stand up and do a talk about The World Cup

-Asks students to look at some pictures showed on the screen -Work in individuals,

- Gives out the words and their meanings in English to
illustrate them.
- Asks students to give the Vietnamese equivalents.

* Vocabulary:
+ Goal-scorer (n): (play a video about goal-scorer)
