Hai Phong port -> Road No. 5 -> Road No. 10 -> Road No. 1A -> Road No. 7 -> Nam Can

border -> Road No. 7 (Laos) -> Muang Kham T-junction -> Road No. 1C (Laos) -> Nam Neun Tjunction -> Provincial Road No. 3320 -> Nam Peun 1 jobsite. Distance of trucking: 710 km.

III.3rd section
Nam Can border gate -Road No.7 – Muong Kham T-Juntion: Trucking distance of 77 km


- Border gate size: Height of 4,8m and width of 3,75m. However, there are bypass for over
sized goods.

There are two sunk places at km06 and km40 on road.

Many sections of road with 30 km limited speed maximum.
III.4th section
Muang Kham T-junction -> Road No. 1C (Laos) -> Nam Neun T-junction. Distance of
trucking: 88 km.


Specification on road: all of 88 km from MuongKham to NamNeun has many hills and slopes
and curves with width of curve from 4.5 to 7 metres and the length of curve over 25 metres and
slope of hill upto 10%.

Highway No. 1C
- There are 3 bridges on this road. However, critical bridge is named Nam Neun Song by
steel girders and concrete, length of span is 42m, payload 25 tons.

Nam Neun T-junction -> Provincial road No.3320 -> Nam Peun 1 hydro power plant
jobsite. Trucking distance of 28.5 km

From Highway No.1C: Turn left, then turn right forward to job site

IV.CONCLUSIONS AND SUGGESTIONS:
This route is sole alternative route for trucking goods from Vietnam port to site. However
the roads from Nam Can border gate to Muong Kham T Juntion and Nam Neun T Juntion to job
site have been deteriorated much with many dangerous points and making the difficulties in
operation of transport as above pictures.

For stator of 65 tons, we must use hydraulic trailer of 8 axles minimum to transport to Nam
Neun T Juntion and doing many works at this area before moving to site. Use 2 prime movers to
pull trailer through the hill.
