Spend a few minutes revising the story in Activity
1by inviting one or two pupils to act it out in front of
the class.

checking as a class. If there is enough time , have the
class read the completed text aloud.

these winners can continue the game unit there is only
<b>one winner left. </b>

- Vocabulary: spring, summer, autumn, winter, cold, wind, hot, flowers, cool, rain,
very cold, snow.

IV. PROCEDURE:

- Spend a few minutes having the class play Bingo,
using the weather words learnt in leson1. At the end
of the game, ask pupils to make sentences with these
words before introducing lesson 2

<b>II. New lesson:(30’)</b>


<b> 1. Look, listen and repeat. (10’)</b>


- Tell the class that they are going to read a story in
which Nam and Peter are talking about the seasons
and weather. Elicit answers to these question: Where
are they? What are they talking about? (Nam and
Peter are on the balcony. In pictures a and b, Peter
asks Nam about the summer weather in Viet Nam and
Nam says it’s uasually hot and it rains a lot.


. In pictures c, Nam asks what’s summer like in your
country, Peter? And Peter answers it is cooler than
here. But it is very green. There are lots of flowers
and plants. In picture d, Nam says he’d like to visit
Peter’s country in summer.


- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to
listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books.
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the
lines in the speech bubbles. Repeat the step a few
times.


- Practice with ps.


- Devide the class into 2 groups. Asks practice in
pairs.


- Go round and check ps can repeat and understand


the dialogue.


<b>2. Point and say: (14’)</b>


a. Vocabulary : spring, summer, autumn, winter, cold,
wind, hot, flowers, cool, rain, very cold, snow.


- Have Ps look at the pictures. Teach them how to
read the words and phrases under each picture:

negative command or a wh-question is pronounced
with falling tone.
