Lesson 1-2: part 4-4-5
<b>I. Objectives: After the lesson Ss will be able to: </b>
- Ask and answer questions about days of the week, weekly activities.
- Listen for specific information.
- Develop: writing, listening skills.
- Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves.
- Studious and obedient students and love their friends.
<b>II. Language focus: </b>
- Vocabulary: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
<i>Sunday.</i>
- Sentence patterns: - What day is it today? - It is Monday.
<b>III. Teaching aids:</b>
<i>1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, pictures, cassette.</i>
<i>2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.</i>
<b>IV. Procedures</b>
<i>1. Class organization:</i>- Greeting
- Checking for the students' attendance.
<i>2. Oral test:Have pupils asking and answering about their weekly</i>
activities.
<i>3. New lesson:</i>
<i><b>Teacher’s activities</b></i> <i><b>Students’ activities</b></i>
<i> Warm up: - Say chattings.</i>
4. Look and write
- Have pupils look at the sentences and
the table (p19).
- Call on some Ss to report the answers .
- Guide ss to complete the exercise.
- Have ss read aloud the sentences they
have written.
- Check and correct.
4. Listen and number.
- Have pupils look at pictures a, b, c and
d on page of the Student Book. Tell
pupils that they are going to listen to the
recording and number the pictures they
hear.
- Play the recording 2 times pupils to
listen and number the boxes.
- Play the recording again pupils check
their answers. T give the answer.
- Respond
- Look at the sentences and guess the
suitable words to fill.
- Complete the excercise individually.
- Read aloud. The rest of the class
listen and give comments.
- Whole class.
- Ss look at pictures a, b, c & d on the
page 21. Elicit the identification of the
characters in the pictures and the
characters’ words
- Guess the answer
- Listen and number. Check their
guess. Compare the answer with the
partner.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’
comprehension of the listening text.
5. Look and write
- Have pupils look at the sentences and
the table (p21).
- Guide ss to complete the exercise.
- Call on some Ss to report the answers .
- Have ss read aloud the sentences they
have written.
- Check and correct.
<b> Reinforcement and homelink:</b>
- Play recording two times the chant:
<i>What do you do on....? </i>
- Ask Ss to do A,B at home.
<i>Answer: 1.c 2. b 3d 4a</i>
- Look at the sentences and the table
(p21) to find the suitable words to fill.
- Complete the excercise individually.
- 6-7 Ss read aloud. The rest of the
class listen and give comments.
