Education aim: Students know the way to ask and carry out an interview about people’s back ground. 2. Knowledge: - General knowledge: Students can ask and answer about people's back ground. - Language: Sentences related to people’s back ground. Asking and answering questions about people's back ground. 3. Skills: Fluency in greeting. Role- playing. II. METHOD: Mainly communicative. III. TEACHING AIDS: Textbook, chalk, board, interview forms IV. PROCEDURES: 1. Class organization: - Greeting - Checking the attendance 2. Check up: (7’) T calls on some Ss to go to the board to write some new words and answer some questions New words: trưởng thành, cái chết đau khổ, được trao, . . . Questions: 1. Who was Marie Curie? 2. What did she do to be a scientist? * Expected answers: New words: mature, tragic death, to be awarded . . . Questions: 1. She is the world famous scientist 2. She worked as a private tutor to save money for a study tour abroad. 3. Presenting the new lesson: Contents. Teacher’s & Students’ activities. I. WARM-UP (5’) * Expected Answers T gives the word square that contains 10 brilliant, mature, radium, Nobel, atomic, human, hard, words about Marie Curie and asks Ss to find chemist, intelligent, ambitious the words by circling the words and write them down below the word square. T corrects mistakes and gives the right answers if necessary T introduces the new lesson to the whole class II. NEW LESSON Task 1 (7’) * Expected Answers Family How many people are there in your family? T asks Ss to work in pairs and decide the items of someone’s background What does your father do? Education Where did you study at high school? T asks Ss to choose the appropriate ones and What subjects do you like best? explain the answers What degree do you have? Experience T calls on some Ss to give questions for each item How long have you worked as a doctor/ teacher? What experience do you have? T corrects mistakes if necessary. Lop10.com.
