Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Warm-up - Copy down. * Introduce the new lesson: Pronunciation : / ts / - / dz / - / t∫ t / and / dʒd / - Listen and prepare. Grammar: both….and, not only …….. but also, either ……. or , neither ….. nor cleft sentences in the passive Pronunciation: - Introduce the sounds / ts / - / dz / - / t∫ t / and / dʒd / then asks Ss to repeat them. * Listen and repeat. - Guides and read example once or twine . - Explains how to produce them. Grammar: CLEFT sentences in the passive - Explains Ss how to use: Structures: It + be + subject + that + past participle. Example: Active: My father gave me a lot of toys. Passive: It was I that was given a lot of toys. Active: He described his home town in his novel. Passive: …………………………………………..
