OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to listen and complete the conversation. (Dialogue). II. LANGUAGE CONTENTS: 1. Knowledge: - General knowledge: Listen and put the right number in each picture. - Language: Completing a dialogue. 2. Skills: Listening for gist and for specific information. Listening to small talks and numbering pictures. III. METHOD: - Integrated, mainly communicative. IV. TEACHING AIDS: - Textbook, small cards... V. PROCEDURES: 1 / Class organization: Attendance: 10: ............ 2 / Oral test: (5’) - Let 2 students go to the board and answer the questions. - Correct their mistakes. 3 / New lesson: Teacher’s & Students’ activities - Give out some key words from the conversations in the last period. - Ask Ss to work in pairs and build a conversation basing on the key words. - Call on some pair to practice the conversation in front of the class. - Make necessary comments before starting the new lesson. - Ask Ss to work in pairs and match a question in A with a response in B. - Call on some pairs to read aloud the question and response in front of the class. * If time allowed, encourage Ss to discuss the topics further. - Keep Ss in pairs and ask them to ask and answer about the pictures. T may also directly ask Ss. Suggested questions: - Make sure Ss see all the details of the picture clearly before playing the tape. - Ask ss to listen to the conversation and match them with the pictures. - Play the tape more than once if necessary. - Tell Ss to listen for main ideas key words, not for specific information in the first time. - Call on some Ss to explain their answers to class.
