UNIT14 WONDERS OF THE WORLD
Lesson 1: Getting started & listen and read ( pages 131, 132 )
I Aims:
-By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to seek information about a
language game to complete a summary.
-To develop listening and reading skills.
-To help Ss get to practice in reading to seek information.
II. Language content:
- Passive form
- Simple present and past tenses.
III. Teaching method:
-Pairs work, groups work, intensive reading and communicative method.
IV. Teaching aids:
- Lesson plan E.8, textbook, tape and cassette...
V.Procedure:
Teacher’s activities
1. Getting started.(7’)
T explains some features about the
pictures to Ss.
T asks Ss to work in pairs to match the
names of these famous world landmarks
to the correct pictures.
T comments and goes on new lesson.
2. Listen and read.(33’)
2.1 Presentation.


T sets the scene to Ss.
T supplies vocabulary on the board to Ss
T has Ss practice reading vocab in
groups,
indiviually.

I Aims:

using reported speech. And listen to the specific information to correct the mistakes
from listening.
-To develop speaking and listening skills
-To educate Ss to enjoy learning English and how to know the wonders of the
world.

II. Language content:

- Some new words about daily life.
III. Teaching method:
-Pairs work, groups work, communicative method, intensive speaking.
