For many people the language of the Internet is English. “World,
Wide, Web : Three English Words” was the name of an article by Michael

his name has been added to the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame.

Old-timers still insists that the 1927 Yankees were the best baseball team of all
time. Besides Lazzari, the famous name included Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig,
and Waite Hoyt. These are stories of how the opposing teams were

reduced to jelly before the game even started, just by watching the

Yankees take batting practice. It was Lazzari who seemed to hold the
team together. As one of his teammates recalled, Tony not only was a

manager on the field. Lazzari had a reputation as one of the smartest 15
players in baseball. He often called strategies, defensively as well as
offensively. He would call the signals for such maneuvers as the
hit-and-run. He took baseball very seriously. Tony’s inauguration in to the Bay
Area Sports Hall of Fame was post-humous since Tony died of a heart
attack in 1946 when he was only 42. For many who idolized Tony, this
