Uri Geller was born in 1946. When he was only three, he was aware that he had an amazing
ability. In 1969 he gave his first performance in a school. He gently rubbed a spoon with his fingers,
and it began to bend. Three years later he drove a car blindfolded through the crowded streets of

Munich. Later Uri Geller appeared on television in Britain in front of a small studio audience of
scientists. He bent spoons and broke metal objects simply by touching them gently with his fingers. He
also drew pictures of hidden objects. After the programme, however, there were hundreds of telephone
