• An enormous amount of plastic is thrown into our oceans each year.
• There has been an enormous rise in the amount of so-called fake
news published on social media.

• Vaccinating every child on the planet against preventable diseases
would be a mammoth task.The enormity of this undertaking is
scarcely comprehendible.


ENORMOUS


• An enormous amount of plastic is thrown into our oceans each year.
• There has been an enormous rise in the amount of so-called fake
news published on social media.
• It is enormously difficult to rehabilitate violent offenders.
• Vaccinating every child on the planet against preventable diseases
would be a mammoth task.The enormity of this undertaking is
scarcely comprehendible.


OVERLOOK
• To not notice; to not care about; to ignore
• The plight of economic migrants and immigrants tends to be
overlooked in the media. As a consequence, few are aware what
difficulties those arriving from abroad have to confront.
• The fact that approximately a billion of our planet’s inhabitants do
not have access to safe drinking water should not be overlooked.
• We should never overlook the fact that today’s children will be
tomorrow’s leaders. If they are not educated adequately, the whole
of society will suffer.
• Child poverty is an often overlooked issue which actually affects a
significant proportion of the world’s young.

difficulties those arriving from abroad have to confront.

• I wholeheartedly agree with the notion that team-sports are
beneficial for children’s emotional and social development.
• I wholeheartedly support the idea that governments should pay
artists to produce paintings, sculptures and pieces of music.


WHOLEHEARTED

essential that we challenge and confront racist attitudes and
behavior whenever we encounter them.

FLEXIBLE

• Teachers need to adopt a flexible approach with their students: what
works with one learner may prove ineffective with another.
• Governments sometimes feel that they need to be inflexible when
enforcing laws.They fear that demonstrating flexibility could be
interpreted as a sign of weakness by their opponents.Yet the
inflexibility of some totalitarian regimes has led to their eventual
downfall and demise.
• One of the chief benefits of doing your job from home is that it

allows employees to work flexibly. Not having to work at specific
times can be extremely useful.


FLEXIBLE
• Teachers need to adopt a flexible approach with their students: what
works with one learner may prove ineffective with another.
• Governments sometimes feel that they need to be inflexible when
enforcing laws.They fear that demonstrating flexibility could be
interpreted as a sign of weakness by their opponents.Yet the
inflexibility of some totalitarian regimes has led to their eventual
downfall and demise.
• One of the chief benefits of doing your job from home is that it
