PART A: INTRODUCTION
1. Rationale
Education plays an important role with each country, especially with the
economic development, which is the same in Vietnam. In the country, if the rate of
educated person is high, it means the indicators of economic development will also
go up. The high quality workforce who is better skilled and trained in an accurate
education will be a motivation for future growth.
Vietnam recognizes education as a national priority. Since 2008, the

government has been spending 20% of its budget on education. The government’s
strong commitment to education and long standing cultural and social support for
education have led to significant progress in the sector.
Vietnam has high primary school completion rates, strong gender parity,
low student/teacher ratios, and a low out of school rate. The country policy
“Fundamental School Quality Level Standards” provided universal access to
education and ensured that minimal conditions were met in every primary school.
Vietnam is known for its rigorous curriculum that is deemed competitive for
students. Secondary education is one of the most significant social issues in the
country: designated schools known as "High schools for the gifted" are regarded as
prestigious and often demand high entrance examination results. Higher education
is also a fundamental cornerstone in Vietnamese society. Entrance to university is
determined through the National High School Graduation Examination, whose

results will be considered for evaluation. The higher the score is, the more
prestigious the institution will be.
Despite these achievements, the country still faces some challenges.
Access and quality are still concerns for lower secondary education and quality is

limited in remote areas. Education-training is still limited, weak and inadequately
overcome; the quality of education is still low, taking care to develop more quantity
than quality, there are still many unsatisfactory contents compared to the country's
development requirements.
Education content, programs and methods are outdated, slow to innovate,
slow to modernize, not yet associated with social life and professional labor; not
promote creativity, practical capacity of students.
In this paper I am going to carry out the topic of “The translation in education.”
2. Purpose of assignment
By the requirements of the Ha Noi Open University (HOU) to the award of
degree and diploma certificates, it is a pre-condition that every student upon
moving to the final year, they have to take a translation assignment with a selected
organization of their choice. The internship provides students the opportunity to
gather some work experiencerelevant to their studies and their professional work
field. It helps the student to learn discipline and principles of working ethics.
The following are the purposes of the internship:
- An internship provides a real life experience and exposure. It enables the
intern to gain first-hand exposure of working in the real life which is
remarkably valuable towards the intern’s career.
- It allows the student to harness the skill, knowledge and theoretical practice
been taught in the university. To provide the students with an opportunity to
apply the knowledge in real work situation thereby closing the gap between

3.2 About the company

a) Background
Established from 2016 with the name Dolphin English Center, It is the leading
center of English training & life skills for children in Viet Tri - Phu Tho.

The goal of Dolphin English Center is to not only practice listening, speaking,
reading and writing English skills in accordance with modern teaching and learning
methods, meeting the integration needs, but also to gain practical skills.
Teamwork, quick reflexes, and confident communication. In addition, students at
Dolphin English Center are prepared with the basic knowledge to achieve high scores
in English as well as tests in specialized schools or exams of D, A1 grade.
Learning English here, students will never be bored with learning
because the classroom is fully equipped with audio-visual equipment to support
teaching and learning. Classrooms are decorated in a friendly and lively manner;
always bright and cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Students' parents will
never feel worried because they have supportive learning services such as: picking up
students, snacks before and after school.
The Dolphin English and Living Skills Center has a team of foreign teachers who
are highly trained. The faculty is comprised of teachers who have teaching experience,
with bachelor’s degree in English and are always passionate about their careers.
Some teachers have received a Master's degree abroad, offering a unique teaching
style to apply to students able to teach using body language to ensure 100% with the
quality of enthusiastic teaching. Love children always create a newness in the lessons
to help children learn excitement in learning, thereby improving the quality of foreign
language acquisition of children.
Along with that, Dolphin English and Life Skills Center regularly organizes event
programs such as Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Summer Camp, Summer

b) Objectives:

Dolphin English and Life Skills Center is proud to be the most prestigious and
quality training center in Phu Tho. The objective of the operation of Dolphin English
Center is creativing opportunities for learning English and conveying the spirit of
global education, we have strived to universalize English, affirming the quality of
teaching to the whole pupils and students nationwide. We teach and improve English
application for officials, public servants and employees of companies, factories and
people in the vicinity, to meet the demands of learning and working more and more
diverse.
c) Functions and Duties of Dolphin English Center

The center is one of the top centers of Phu Tho province with candidates taking the
Cambridge exam and achieving excellent results, making high marks with
international examiners.
As the first local center to apply an effective student centered method of learning
English : learning English does not need to be through Vietnamese. The center has
students who have won national, provincial, and city awards in recent years.
The center organized a playground: Ring the golden bell, communicate in English.
The center is a passionate heart for the dream of mastering the pinnacle of learning
foreign languages!
d) Private program of Dolphin English Center
The kids program is specially designed for children from 4 to 6 years old. This is
agolden time for children to get exposed to the new language and help them become
familiarwith the native English language, through the process of "Learning, playing

and learning".The curriculum is Super Tots 1 to Super Tots 3.
