Language focus - By the end of this lesson, students will introducing family members. Vocabulary: review father, mother, brother, sister. Structures: This is my (brother). 2. Skills - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing skills 3. Core competencies & Personal qualities - Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s aids: Ss’book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, projector, TV. 2. Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook. III. Method - Model-Talk-Practice, individual work, pair work,group work. IV. Procedures Teacher - Students’ activies. Content. 1. Warm up (5’) *Activity: Singing - T asks Ss to sing the songs of letters ‘c’ and ‘d’ again. - T ask them to sing and make the gestures of a cap or a door. - T calls some Ss sing and make the gestures. 2. These Ss then whisper the word to the 2 Ss standing right in front of them. This is repeated until the word reaches the 2 Ss at the front of the lines. - Ss at the front of the lines call out the word and the 2 Ss at the back hold up the flashcard to see whether the word is correct. - The 2 Ss at the front of the lines move to the back of the lines. T repeats the activity with other words. *Activity A. Listen and circle (A or B). (5’) - T ask Ss to look at the pictures. Point to each object in the pictures and asks them to call out the objects they see. - T pkays the CD and asks Ss to look at the picture and objects. - T demonstrate the activity by pointing at the example. - Tasks Ss to listen and circle. - T check the answers as a whole class. - T point at each object in the picture and asks Ss to say "It's a bag/...". - T calls some Ss demonstrate the activity in front of the class. *Activity B. <span class='text_page_counter'>(3)</span> - T asks Ss to look at the example. - T divide the class into 2 teams. - T calls a student stand facing away from the board and stick a flashcard on the board behind him/her. - T asks Ss try to guess the answer without looking at the flashcard. - T give that team 1 point if it's a correct guess. *Activity: Running dictation (4’) - T stick some pictures (bag, book, pencil) on the walls in the class. - T asks Ss to work in pairs. One runs and find the pictures around him/ her, then turn back to his pair and tell what he/ she has seen. E. g: It’s a pencil. His/ Her friend writes down the word he/ she has heard. 3. Application - Ask Ss to say the word boy, cat, door 4. Summary - Learn by heart the word “cat”. ______________________________________ WEEK 07 Period 14 Date of preparing: 19/ 10/ 2021. Date of teaching: 22/ 10/ 2021 (1A) 22/ 10/ 2021 (1D). UNIT 3: COLORS Lesson 1: Part A, B, C I. Objective 1. Language focus - By the end of this lesson, students can name the basic colors. Vocabulary: red, yellow, blue. Structure: It’s (red). 2. Skills - Practice listening, speaking, reading, writing skills 3. Core competencies & Personal qualities - Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary. II. Teaching aids 1. Teacher’s aids: Ss’book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, projector, TV. 2. Warm up (5’) *Activity: True or False Line. - T put a line of tape on the floor and designate one side "True" and the other "False". - T hold up an object or flashcard and say its word. If Ss think the word you have said is the correct word, they jump to the “True” side. And if not, they jump to the “False” side. Students that jump to the wrong side are out of the game and sit down 2. New lesson *Activity A: Listen and point. Repeat. (8’) - T use flashcards, crayons or colored pencils to introduce the new words: red, yellow, blue - T asks Ss to listen to each new word. - T asks Ss to listen to each new word and repeat all together and individually. - T arrange the flashcards on the board. Play the CD and asks Ss to listen and point to the pictures in their books. - T plays the CD again and asks Ss to listen, repeat several times. - T change the order of the flashcards, point to them individually and asks Ss to say the words, correct pronunciation when needed. - T asks Ss to work in pairs, one of them points to the picture in the book and the other says the word. - T asks Ss to hold up their crayons/ colored pencil that is red, yellow or blue and say that color. *Activity: Slap (5’) - T divide the class into four teams and have each team make a line. - T stick flashcards on the board. - T say a word. E.g. ‘red’. The first S from each team runs to the board and slap the correct picture. - T give one point for the correct and fastest S. *Activity B. Listen and point (7’). Content. Sing (5’) - T asks Ss to turn to page 68. - T read the lyrics as a whole class. - T play the CD and asks Ss to listen. - T play the CD again for Ss to listen, sing along. *Activity “Read my lips” (5’) Play game - Have two teams set up and the first person on each team must watch the teacher’s mouth. - T set a word with no voice, just move his/her lips in tongue in the correct way. The first team guess the word correctly gets a point. - T asks Ss to make a sentence with that word. 3. Application - Ask ss to say the colour around the class 4.
