did on the holiday accurately.

II. Pre – writing
1. Activity 1:
- Use pictures to present some new

2. Matching
(5 minutes)
159: Last weekend, class 11A2 went
to Ba Vi for a camping holiday. Below
are some of their activities during
their two –day holiday.
- ask students work in pair to match
activities with correct pictures within
3 minutes
- invite some pair to answer
- give feedback and correction
3. The outline of
passage and

(10 minutes)
- Teacher introduces: this is a
passage of a student in class 11A2. It
tells about camping holiday in Ba Vi
-Teacher gives whole class a model
of a paragraph writing about holiday
(appendix B) and has them to see
carefully
- ask students some questions to
screen and
projector
clear out the format of a paragraph
writing about camping holiday.

+ What did the writer mention in the
body? (activities they did)
+ What is the order of listing
activities? (order of time)

- ask students to identify the tenses
and time phrases used in the model
text.
- Then, explain students about the
use of tenses:

describing things of feelings
+ Past tenses are used to describe
actions that happened in the past.

time order of activities:
+ firstly, secondly,… finally
+ next, then
+ after + Noun/ V_ing
+ In the morning, in the afternoon…
- teacher shows the task on the
screen:
Let’s imagine that last weekend, you
spent a two-day holiday in Da Nang
with your classmates. Write a
passage about this holiday. You
should write about 80-100 words.
- Ask students some question to
confirm that they understand
+ What do you write about?
+ Where and when did it happen?
+ How many words should you write?
+ Which tenses will you use?
III. While-writing
Write a passage
(10 minutes)
- Invite 2 students to go to the board
