WEEK 2

REVIEW UNIT 6: Conditional Sentences type 1

I. Objectives

+ Studens’ knowledge:
- After the lesson, students will be able to understand more about: Adverb
clauses of reason, S + To Be + adj + that + S + V….:, Conditional Sentences (If
Sentences): Type 1 and do exercises correctly.
+ Studens’ skill:


- Speaking and writing skill.
+ Studens’ idea and attitude:- Students have good idea and attitude in protecting
the environment, learning lesson
II. Grammar. 1. Adverb clauses of reason: Mệnh đề trạng từ chỉ lý do.
Ta dùng as = since = because (bởi vì) để chỉ 1 lý do, 1 nguyên nhân.
Ex: - He failed his exam because/as/since/ he didn’t work hard.
- Because/As/Since/for it is late, they are in hurry.
=> S + V……. + because/as/since + S + V ………..
Because/As/Since + S + V ….….. , S + V …..…….
2. S + To Be + adj + that + S + V….:
Chữ “that” được dịch nghóa “rằng” hoặc “là”.
Ex: I’m happy that you changed your decision.
(Tôi thấy vui là bạn đã thay đổi quyết định của bạn).
3. Conditional Sentences (If Sentences): Type 1 Câu điều kiện loại 1
Ex: If I finish my homework, I will go to the concert
= I will go to the concert if I finish my homework.
* If clause:
If I finish my homework,
* Main clause: I will go to the concert
1. Form:
If clause: Mệnh đề đk
If + S + V1…..,


2. Use:

Main clause: Mệnh đề chính
S + will/shall + Vo……

Diễn tả một điều kiện có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.

III. Exercises. Combine these pairs of sentences using Clauses of reason.
