Greetings are indispensable in every conversation and today I will learn
more deeply about the greeting culture in Vietnam.
In Vietnam:
- When greeting friends or someone who is younger, we have more
informal greetings like waving, shaking hands, patting each other's
shoulders, calling each other's names or smiling at each other.
- We often greet older people by bowing with crossed arms in front of
the chest or simply bowing.
In many other Asian countries like China, Korea, or Japan, we often bow to
people. In European countries, there is a more open way of greeting by
hugging and kissing.
As I see the exchange of business cards often takes place between
businesses. There are two ways to exchange cards.
- First is formal, people always use two hands and look at the card
carefully.
- The second is informal, people accept a card with one hand and
quickly put it in their pocket.
From what I've seen, they usually hand over and receive with one hand.
After the greetings, we usually have small talk.
- In Vietnam, small talks are often about daily drama, politics,
shopping fashion, football, lottery, etc.
- In some other countries, people have to avoid the topics of age,
family, religion, and salary.
Anyway, each culture of each country has its characteristics and beauty.

This year due to COVID I can't go to see many good movies at the theater.
And here I will tell you about my favorite movie I watched this year. The
name of the film is Bố già.
Bố già (English title: Dad, I'm Sorry) is a romantic comedy film. The film
has the participation of actors Ngoc Giau, Tuan Tran, Ngan Chi, Le Giang,

... and some other actors.

The work begins to be released on March 5, 2021. Dad, I'm Sorry is a daily
story about a family in a poor working-class hamlet in Ho Chi Minh City.
The film's content focuses on the family stories of Sang - Quắn - Bù Tọt.
Sang is the character I like most. He is a single father, raising two children.
He is thrifty, while Quan - his first son is impulsive. He is a kind person,
trying to help everyone around, while his son believes that each person
has a life of their own. The gap between generations has led to father-son
conflicts.
The movie scene that impressed me the most was the scene where Quan
repeatedly punched the shelf until the dislocation error. The movie has a
gentle beginning and a meaningful ending.
I watched this movie on Netflix alone. The movie is 128 minutes long. I
cried while watching this movie. I’ve watched it 3 times and I highly
recommend this movie.
It's a great movie, a thought-provoking one. It makes me think a lot about
family love. The lesson from the movie is that we have time, but parents
don't. Love your parents while you can.

Now I wanna tell you about a hotel I stayed at, on a family vacation. During
my trip last summer, I stayed with my family in Da Nang.
We chose to stay at a hotel with a view overlooking My Khe beach. The
hotel is called Stella Maris Beach Danang, located at 3 Vo Van Kiet Street,
Son Tra District, Da Nang. My Khe beach is one of the most beautiful
beaches in the world mentioned by Forbes and the New York Times.
We booked a suite with 2 rooms for 4 people. In which, my parents stayed
in a room with a queen-size bed, my brother and I stayed in a room with

double twin beds. Room rates here range from 1million-2million VND per
night excluding other service fees.
Parking, internet, and breakfast are free served here. Not only that but
there are also swimming pools, gyms, saunas… Room service is very

available from sofa, wardrobe, mini bar, hairdryer, tv,... I had a request for
laundry service and room service.
For me, laundry service and room service are very important, because my
purpose when coming here is to check in beautiful photos of the scenery
here and enjoy delicious food. I am very satisfied with everything during
my stay and I have shared this with my friends.
What I liked most about this hotel was the convenient services at the hotel
as well as the reasonable price. I hope to have another trip like that after
the covid is over.

Now I wanna tell you about good and bad driving habits.
First, the good habits we need to maintain when driving are: pay attention,
tie your seat belt, follow 3-second rule... etc. We should maintain this good
driving habit.
Second, here are some bad driving habits that you need to avoid: speeding,
tailgating, talking on the phone, weaving through traffic, not stopping at
red lights, not signaling when turning,...etc
For me, not signaling when turning is the most dangerous habit. Like some
women who are Ninja Lead drive Lead motorbike and they don’t signal
when turning. That may cause an accident for them and the people
behind.
And, I heard a story about the accident from my best friend. The accident
happened at 10 p.m. when my friend was walking in the square. Suddenly
there was a loud noise. A speeding Lamborghini crashed into a pedestrian.

The victim died on the spot. The person who caused the accident ran away
immediately. About 10 minutes later, the police arrived and surrounded
the scene. After hearing about this accident, I have learned a lesson that is
not to drive too fast, it can cause a serious accident that leads to death.
The advice for everyone is to get rid of bad driving habits. Practicing good
driving habits will help you and everyone around you avoid collisions,
avoid damage to property, health, and safety, even life.

Now I wanna tell you about how I care for my appearance. As a girl,
everyone pays attention to their appearance and I am no exception.
There are many ways I can take care of my appearance at home. I regularly
brush my teeth and rinse my mouth to prevent bleeding gums. Even when
I don't go out I still use sunscreen. I always use peeling gel to help deep
clean the skin. I always use 2 types of shampoo and conditioner when
washing my hair at home to help prevent hair damage. Also, I always cut all
my fingernails and toenails short with nail clippers.
I rarely go to a spa or salon. I go there at the end of the year to prepare for
Tet, or to prepare for a certain party. When I go to the salon, I usually cut
and dye my hair, the price for this service ranges from 500k - 2 million
VND. When I go to the spa, I often use a massage service to help relieve
pain, the price of this service ranges from 200k - 500k VND.
Appearance is important to everyone. Being more beautiful helps me to be
confident in every communication. Many people don't look what they
want, so they seek cosmetic surgery.
I found it to have pros and cons.
● As for the advantages, it helps you to be more beautiful, feel more
confident, more favorable in life.
● On the downside, it’s expensive and not safe.

I don't support cosmetic surgery because I love inner beauty more than
outer beauty. You may not be beautiful but you have a kind heart. Outer
beauty wears out over time, but inner beauty does not.
Here are some natural ways to take care of yourself to help you look
beautiful every day: exercise, drink enough water, eat more green
vegetables, get enough sleep,...pay attention to personal care at home like
me and most importantly be inner beauty.
