Continuous improvement is a business management program which has been adopted successfully by Japanese and Western enterpnses.
Thanks to ongoing improvements, business performance becomes better and customers are
more satisfied, therefore their loyalty increases.
The article uses quantitative research method to
test fhe con-elations between continuous improvement and customer satisfaction in 4 aspects:
meeting customer demand; increasing customer
loyalty, increasing immediate satisfaction; and
increasing long-term satisfaction, Linear regression with over 1,500 observations from the data of
High Manufacturing Practice (HPM) indicates that
improvement programs have helped European
enterprises respond to customer demand better,
thereby increasing customer loyalty, immediate
customer satisfaction as well as long-term satisfaction. On this basis, some lessons can be drawn
for Vietnamese enterprises.
