A. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
B. HEALTH MANAGEMENT
A. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

I. THE REALITY OF LEAD CONTAMINATION
II. THE REALITY OF LABOR ENVIRONMENTAL
CONTAMINATION
1. Data of microclimate and environmental physics
measured at GS Company between 2009 and 2011

- Microclimate with 100% Sample reached the Hygiene Standard
- Light: % samples not reach the standard reduced;
- Noise: % of samples not achieve the standard increased from 0 to 11.4%
II. THE REALITY OF LABOR ENVIRONMENTAL
CONTAMINATION
2. Data of weight dust, lead dust, lead gas, acid gas measured from
2009-2011
- The rate % Sample reached the Hygiene Standard: Acid gas with 100%
- The rate % Sample not reach the Hygiene Standard
Lead dust, lead gas : 100%,
Dust weight: be increasing.

III. EVALUATE THE RISKS OF LABOR
ENVIRONMENT
1. Results of lead gas and lead vapor
concentration measured at GS Company
from 2009-2011
Source: Nguyen Thao Ngoc and coworkers at Binh Duong Centre of labor Health and
Environment &Institutes of Hygiene – Public Medical in Hochiminh City
1. Lead dust: 100% samples exceed the allowed
Hygiene Standard with the reliability α = 0,10.
2. Lead vapor: 60% samples exceed the
allowed Hygiene Standard with the reliability α
= 0,10.

B.HEALTH MANAGEMENT
I. MANAGE THE HEALTH AT THE
BEGINNING
Recruitment employees, Company requires: 100%
employees have full:
1 – Health Certificate issued by the authorities
2 - ΔALA urine test at the Company
II. MANAGING EMPLOYEES’ HEALTH
1. The result of periodically health examine at GS
Company
- Percentage % as per the health classification of
employee did not fluctuate considerably.
2. Statistics on disease situation of employees through
periodically health examine.
-
Periodontal disease occupied the highest rate
→ respiratory tract is the primary route of exposure.
II. MANAGING EMPLOYEES’ HEALTH
3. Survey and interview results
A. Awareness of the environmental factors affecting
health is temperature highest rate.
B. The illness reality of employees during the first six
months of the year is backache highest rate .

C. Employees’ awareness in using personal protective
equipment from 70-100%

Source: Nguyen Thao Ngoc interviewed over 110 employees at GS Company in 2012
III. ASSESS THE RISKS OF EMPLOYEES’
HEALTH
A. The result of occupational disease exam through quantitive
∆ALA urine from 2009 to 2011
2. The percentage of inorganic lead exposure has been
decreased from 2009-2011: 3.53%→1.46% → 1.18%.

people who contact directly and indirectly with lead
2011
Comment: Rate the directly department exposed to lead
higher than the department is not directly exposed to lead

IV. THE REALITY OF HEALTH, ILLNESS OF
EMPLOYEES
Company :
 Protected employees’ health good
Equipped the personal protective equipment for
workers good
 Awareness of health protection for themselves is high.
 Reducing the rate of inorganic lead infection over time
from 2009 to 2011.
IV. THE REALITY OF HEALTH, ILLNESS OF
EMPLOYEES
Company

Occupational illness for employees

Discovering the occupational diseases soon.

Minimize the cause of career illness.
