4. The limit of Mice tourism development in Vietnam
-

MICE tourism requires huge capital. Therefore, very few localities can meet the
requirements of infrastructure, services, etc. to organize large-scale MICE events.

-

Lack of qualified human resources, capable of planning and organizing high-level
conferences and seminars.

-

In Vietnam, there is no formal and formal human resource training facility to
organize MICE events.

If Vietnam wants to develop MICE tours in the future, Vietnam needs to make a lot of
efforts in investing in human resources, professional infrastructure and many other
factors.
-

The cost of conference rooms and bedrooms in Vietnam is higher than in other

countries in Southeast Asia and East Asia, so it is difficult to build programs for
the organizers; Funding to prepare is also an issue...

-

Conferences and seminars are often held at the end of the year, so they often fall
into a state of "stress of the room, stretch of service". Causing a shortage of rooms
to link with other hotels..

-

The promotion of Vietnam's tourism is the weakest point of this industry.
Currently, the majority of MICE delegations are obtained by travel companies
seeking to conquer and attract customers and partner companies.

-

Poor infrastructure, socio-cultural environment is still inadequate: tourists are not
satisfied with taxi drivers, street vendors, tour services, railways and souvenir
shopping. The future of MICE tourism is in the hands of tourism operators, from
the highest level of management to the smallest service workers such as drivers,
street vendors, etc.

-

The traffic system is not clear; the distance between the international airport to the
place where the conference is held, the resting place for guests is still far.

-

The service team lacks professionalism, foreign language skills are weak...
Therefore, to receive MICE delegations of a few hundred guests, the tourism
industry has to manage on its own, even having to split the group into small
groups to solve the problem can decide.
