In my free time, I love to relax myself by listening to music and surfing the internet. I study all day, so after
7 PM is the only time that I can use for myself. I have a smartphone, so I can download a lot of songs from
the Internet for free, and I usually listen to them with my headphones. If noone is at home, I will turn on
the loudspeakers to have the best experience with music, but most of the time I only listen to music with
headphones.
In addition, surfing the internet is my second biggest love. I can know about this world more and know
what happens to my surroundings. It also increase my social skills which that skill is a need nowadays. It
increases through social media like Facebook, Twitter, and so on. Social media are good channel to getting
information about the world. Beside TV and radio, news is now published online so that people can reach it
easily. Internet makes our life become more convenient and variable. Moreover, instead of going to movie
theater, I can stay at home and download movies while eating favorite food. For me, using the internet is
one of the most interesting indoors activity. My parents want me to read books to learn even in my free
time, but I think I should do what I actually love to make myself comfortable.

- Hello, my full name is Pham Thu Hang. Well, I’m come from Hai Phong City, which is the third biggest

flower City”, “The Port City”, “The Coastal City” with a rich tradition and history. I am proud to be born
and grow up there.
- I don’t play any sports, but I work out at the gym with a personal trainer who helps me design a suitable
training program. When going to the gym, the very first step that I need to take is to do some warm up by
stretching, bending over and doing jumping jacks. After this stage, I will work out intensely, which can put
my muscles in pain for the first few days.

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is badminton, a popular sport in Vietnam.
I first knew about it when I was 15 years old. My father thought that I was a bit overweight so he forced me
to join a badminton training course with his friends. I have to admit that even though I was a bit upset for

being made to do something against my will, I soon got into it after only a week.
Unfortunately, these days, as a white-collar, I mostly spend my day in the office and only reach home by 7
p.m. So, I do not have any time for badminton anymore.
Anyway, I still love this sport for several reasons: First, it helped me to lose some weight which led to
better health. Second, when I practiced the sport in the sports center near my house, I made plenty of cool
friends who supported me a lot in life. Last but not least, after knowing this sport, I would say for sure I
could overcome my timidity of being a big size person and make an effort to change my look. All in all, I
suggest this sport is a must-have pastime for everyone.

I would like to talk about my favorite sport, which is swimming.
I first knew about it when I was 10 years old. My mom thought that I should learn to swim at an early age
so that I wouldn’t drown in the water. Frankly speaking, I kinda enjoyed the swimming class as I guess I
was born with the Water element.
Nowadays, I still keep the habit of going to the swimming pool every Saturday afternoon with my
boyfriend who is also a fan of this water sport. Only when I am snowed under a heavy workload do I ever
skip a day.

I love this sport for several reasons: First, it helps to keep my body in perfect shape. Second, swimming is a
great sport for me to improve my height. Since I started this sport, I barely feel stressed or overworked. All

It is the job of a marketer who works in a big company as a nine-to-five white-collar worker.

demand because it guarantees the long-term interest of the customers and they will buy the product over
again.
To be suitable for this job, I need a well-trained course in marketing which is pretty popular in my city and
with a wide range of prices. Personally, I need to have a strong personality and even be a little bit crazy
with some creativity to think of the most unique ideas for advertising.
This job is perfect for me because I will be the one that decides how the brand’s message will reach the

One of my most favorite means of transport is bus. I use it very often. I go to school by bus everyday. I like
it because of its benefits. Going by bus helps me save a lot of money. It also makes the environment
become cleaner. All buses are upgraded to use clean and environmentally friendly fuel. Whenever it rains,
taking the bus is wonderful. I can watch the romantic street in the rain without worrying about getting wet,
and I do not have to hurry to go quickly because of getting wet.
However, the bus still has some disadvantages. They are slower than private vehicles because they have to
follow fixed routes. It is sometimes overcrowded that I cannot breathe. I often go to school late because of


missing the bus, so I have to manage my timetable properly. Despite these drawbacks, the bus is a great
choice for me.

So, I feel like it’s going to be very difficult to talk about my favorite weather if the person listening is not
someone from Ha Noi, because the weather that I fancy the most during the year is Hanoi autumn. So this
is a season that is very unique to the northern part of Vietnam and it is considered a transitional season,
ranging from September to November. So usually during Hanoi autumn, the weather is overall very cool
and fresh. When you go out on the streets in this season, you would usually feel a very cool, slight breeze
swirling around you.

The sky is most of the time in an incredible blue shade and the sunlight is not too fierce like in summer
and not toofaint like in winter months, but it’s very gentle and very strange, very hard to describe. Even
the sudden rain could not disrupt the usual tranquilt and cool feeling that this weather brings me. So
during these specific months, I usually try to be outside as much as possible, and one of my favorite
pastime activities is going out to café shops and just stare at the combination of red, orange, yellow, and
green foliage outside.
I like this type of weather because I am someone who is a bit sensitive to the weather in general and I like
the atmosphere that is not too hot nor too cold. I usually feel very comfortable during this season and very
encouraged to do as many things as I can.

To me, spring is a joyful season, and it is the beginning of a whole new year. The weather in spring is
mild and fresh, when flowers are starting to bloom, and the leaves are greener than ever. In the North, it
will be a little bit cool with drizzles, that is the special feature here.
Additionally, in spring, we have Tet holiday – our traditional new year event which is usually located in
February. This is the biggest occasion of the year with many festivals, and people are all happy about it.
People stop their regular activities to get out of their houses and admire the beauty of spring. Specially,


yellow apricot blossoms and pink peach blossoms really brighten up the sky. I love wandering around

on these days. The spring is so special, it carries so much love and happiness.

I have a myriad of destinations on my must-visit list around the world. However, if I get the opportunity
to choose one city, I would probably pick London, which is one of the most prominent capitals around
the globe. I guess the reason why I desire to visit London has something to do with the fact that ever since
I was a kid, I had always been amazed by the gorgeous and unique architecture of London. There are also
some interesting facts about London that I want to witness in real life.
One of them is the fact about the Big Ben tower. So far, many people see the tall clock tower and think that
it is Big Ben. But in fact, Big Ben is a giant thirteen-ton bell inside the tower that is rung every two hours
by a two hundred – kilogram hammer. The real name of the Bell is the Great Bell of Westminster.
Besides Big Ben, lots of tourists also enjoy visiting Buckingham Palace, which is also extremely
appealing to me since it is the home to the Queen of England. Watching the changing of the guard
ceremony that takes place in front of the Palace’s gate certainly be exciting. Buckingham Palace is also the
second-largest working palace in the world after Brunei’s Istana Nurul Iman. Many other elements are
making London so tempting to me and pay this fantastic city a visit in the future. It is one of the items in
my wish – list.

Last summer, I went to Nha Trang beach with my family, it was such a memorable summer holiday. We
went there by car, and when we nearly got there, from the far distance, I could see how wide and beautiful
the beach was.
The weather was so nice that made me want to run directly to the beach, enjoy the fresh air and clean
water. There were a lot of people swimming, sunbathing, playing volleyball on the shore, and some
children even built sandcastles and flew kites.

We stayed at Edele hotel whose service I found very satisfied and I had the chance to eat the seafood there,
they were very delicious. I went to Vinpearl Land, Long Sơn pagoda, too. They were very wonderful. I felt
very fun and happy because I also met many foreigners, they were tourists and I had talked to them a lot.
We stayed in Nha Trang for a week and the last day, I went to some gift shop near the beach to buy
souvenirs for my grandparents and my friends. When I came back home, I felt very happy but a little
regretted because I wanted to stay there longer. I told my dad I liked Nha Trang and I hoped we can go to
Nha Trang again one summer.

có trẻ em xây lâu đài cát và thả những con diều.
Chúng tôi đã ở tại khách sạn Edele, dịch vụ của nó tơi thấy rất hài lịng và tơi đã có cơ hội để ăn hải sản ở
đó, chúng rất tươi ngon. Tôi cũng đã đến Vinpearl Land, Chùa Long Sơn. Những địa danh đó thật tuyệt
vời. Tơi thấy rất vui và hạnh phúc bởi vì tơi cịn được gặp nhiều người ngoại quốc, họ là khách du lịch và
tơi đã nói chuyện với họ rất nhiều.
Chúng tơi ở tại Nha Trang một tuần và ngày cuối cùng, tôi đã đến những cửa hàng lưu niệm gần bãi biển
để mua quà cho ông bà và bạn bè của tôi. Khi quay trở về nhà, tôi thấy rất hạnh phúc nhưng hơi tiếc nuối
vì tơi muốn ở đó lâu hơn nữa. Tơi đã nói với ba là tơi thích Nha Trang và tơi hi vọng có thể lại đến thăm
Nha Trang lần nữa vào một mùa hè khác.

Last summer vacation, I had an amazing journey to Japan. It took us 5 hours to get there by plane. At first,
we were exhausted, but little did we know we would have one of the best moments here.
We stayed at three cities: Osaka, Tokyo and Chiba, all of which gave us different vibes of Japan. While
Tokyo was a city of hustle and bustle, Chiba calmed my mind with its peaceful and rather quiet
atmosphere. Osaka was actually the combination of both cities, busy but tranquil at times.
We had the chance to visit many beautiful and famous destinations such as Kinkakuji Temple, Kiyomizu –

Dera temple, Shibuya town, and et. Cetera. The weather was hot and sunny all day. The cuisine here was
top-notch as I got to enjoy a variety of fresh and delicious seafood. This journey gave me the chance to
experience a new culture and I would love to come to Japan again.

lúc yên tĩnh.
Chúng tơi đã có cơ hội thăm quan nhiều điểm đến đẹp và nổi tiếng như chùa Kinkakuji, chùa Kiyomizu –
dera, thị trấn Shibuya. Thời tiết nắng và nóng cả ngày. Ẩm thực ở đây rất đỉnh vì mình được thưởng thức
nhiều loại hải sản tươi sống và rất ngon. Chuyến đi này đã cho mình cơ hội được trải nghiệm một nền văn
hố mới và mình rất vui lịng được đến Nhật Bản một lần nữa.
