Unit 9: The body
Lesson 1( A1-2 )

I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to know nouns to talk
about Parts of the body.
II. Language contents:
- Grammar: review the structures: What is that?
That is his head.
What are those?
Those are his fingers.

- Vocabulary: head, chest, shoulder, arm, hand, leg, foot, finger, toe.
III. Techniques: guessing a word, guessing game, noughts and crosses, group
works, pair works, ask and answer.
IV. Teaching aids: lesson plan, textbook, pictures page 96, 97 and cassette.
V. Time: Allotted 45 minutes.
VI. Procedures:
1. Warm up(5’)
- Game: Hang man
BODY
- Have the Ss to find a word.
- It has 4 letters.
- It talks about a person. It begins by b and ends by y.
- Correct and give the corrections.

In order to know about them, today we
come to Unit 9, part A1-2.
- First we learn vocabulary.
- Use the picture of a person to elicit
and teach vocabulary.

- Have the Ss practice the vocabulary.

- Control the Ss check vocabulary by
asking and answering.

* Presentation:

- Write the model on the board and ask
the Ss to repeat.
- Ask the Ss to practice in pairs part A2,
using the picture ask and answer.
- Call some students to go to the board,
ask and the Ss in the class answer.
- Prepair two person pictures by papers,
separate the Parts of the body.
- Divide the class into 2 groups.
- Give each group a person picture is
separated.
- Have the students listen to the teacher,
go to the board and fix into a person on
the board, which group is faster, that
group will win.
