I. Aims :
- By the end of the lesson, the students are able to scan reading for
general and specific information
- By the end of the lesson, the students are able to talk about the
Internet and its services.
II. Lexical items :

- modem - dial – up - access - ISP
III. Structures :
- People use the Internet for different purposes such as in formation
search, ……
- You can hook up to the ISP with a modem and your home
telephone line.

Game : “Mind-map”
- Divide the class into
groups of six.
- Allocate space for each
group on the board.
- Give each group a set of
words / phrases below on
separate flashcards with
flashcards
different colors ( all
mixed up ) and some
glue.
- each group has to pick
out the words they think
are associated with the
Internet.
- set a time limit of 6
minutes
- as the time is up get all
the groups to come to
their allocated areas on
the board and stick the
words they have selected
on.

reading section, we’ll get
to learn more about the
