Danh từ số ít, số nhiều, cấu trúc “ there is / are…”, “How many …?”
I.Aims:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know singular , plural , structures: “
There is / are …”, “How many ?” and do exercises.
II. Content:
I.Định nghĩa và phân loại danh từ
Trong tiếng Anh danh từ gọi là Noun.
Danh từ là từ để gọi tên một người, một vật, một sự việc, một tình trạng hay một cảm
xúc.
Số nhiều của danh từ
Một được xem là số ít (singular). Từ hai trở lên được xem là số nhiều (plural). Danh từ
thay đổi theo số ít và số nhiều
1.Số nhiều của danh từ.
a-Qui tắc chung: thêm “S” vào sau danh từ số ít
VD: day -> days, chair -> chairs …
b-Thêm “es” vào sau các danh từ tận cùng bằng : CH, S, SH, SS, X, Z, ZZ
VD: church -> churches , bench -> benches…
c-Một số danh từ tận cùng bằng “Y” : nếu trước đó là một phụ âm thì ta chuyển Y
thành “i” rồi thêm “es”
VD: baby -> babies, country -> contries , fly -> flies …

TÍNH TỪ SỠ HỮU, ĐẠI TỪ NHÂN XƯNG
1. Đại từ nhân xưng làm chủ từ trong câu:
- I tôi, ta - Chỉ người nói số ít.
- We chúng tôi, chúng ta - Chỉ người nói số nhiều.
- You bạn, các bạn - Chỉ người nghe số ít hoặc số nhiều.
- They họ, chúng nó, - Chỉ nhiều đối tượng được nói tới.
- He anh ấy, ông ấy, - Chỉ một đối tượng được nói tới thuộc giống đực.
- She chị ấy, bà ấy, - Chỉ một đối tượng được nói tới thuộc giống cái.
- It nó, - Chỉ một đối tượng được nói tới không rõ giới tính.
Khi đại từ nhân xưng làm chủ từ của câu, thì đại từ nhân xưng đứng trước động từ
chính của câu và các động từ chính phải được biến đổi (chia) cho phù hợp (về ngôi và

số) với chủ từ của nó.
VD: I am a student. Tôi là sinh viên
He is a student. Anh ấy là sinh viên
She likes music. Chị ấy thích âm nhạc
They like music. Họ thích âm nhạc
2.Tính từ sở hữu:
- My của tôi, của ta - Chỉ người nói số ít.
- Our của chúng tôi/ chúng ta - Chỉ người nói số nhiều.

- Your của bạn/ các bạn) - Chỉ người nghe số ít hoặc số nhiều.
- Their của họ, của chúng nó, - Chỉ nhiều đối tượng được nói tới.
- His của anh ấy, của ông ấy, - Chỉ một đối tượng được nói tới thuộc giống đực.
- Her của chị ấy, của bà ấy, - Chỉ một đối tượng được nói tới thuộc giống cái.
- Its của nó, - Chỉ một đối tượng được nói tới không rõ giới tính.
Tính từ sở hữu luôn đứng trước danh từ để chỉ mối quan hệ sở hữu giữa chủ sở hữu và
đối tượng bị sở hữu.

That is his pen. Kia là cây viết của anh ấy.
Those are their motorbikes. Kia là những chiếc xe gắn máy của họ.

IV.Cách nhận biết:
Các trạng từ chỉ thời gian thường dùng trong thì hiện tại đơn giản.
- In the morning/ afternoon/ evening…
- Every day / morning/ afternoon / evening / week / month / year / Monday …. summer
…
- Often, usually, always, sometimes, once / twice / three times a week /
- on + ( thứ trong tuần ) + s . on Sundays
- Dùng trong câu điều kiện loại 1, mệnh đề chỉ thời gian sau " as soon as / when "
V. Cách thêm " s / es " vào sau động từ ở ngôi thứ 3 số ít
Thông thường chúng ta thêm " s " vào sau mỗi động từ.
VD: visit -> visits
listen -> listens
Ngoại trừ:
- Những động từ có tận cùng bằng " s / x / ch / sh / z " -> chúng ta thêm " es "
VD: watch -> watches
miss -> misses
- Những động từ có tận cùng bằng " y " và trước " y " là một phụ âm ( tức trước " y "
không bao gồm các nguyên âm ( ueoai ) ) -> chúng ta đổi " y " thành " i " rồi thêm " es
".
VD: study -> studies khác play -> plays
cry -> cries
- Những động từ có tận cùng bằng " o " và trước " o " là một phụ âm ( tức trước " o "
