Unit 8: Celebrations (English 11)

1. Class description: 30 students (Ss -15 boys and 15 girls), Sang Son
high school.
2. Time: 45m
3. Objectives:
+skill: after the lesson, Ss will be able to
-scan for specific ideas and guess the meaning of words in context.
+language: Ss will be able to
-make a sentence with topic celebration
-use the information in context to discuss the topic

4. Assumed knowledge:
- Ss have known some vocabulary items related to the topic.
5. Anticipated problem(s): Ss may have difficulty in calling name of the
celebrations/festivals.

6. Teaching aids:
-Textbook, picture, handout, blackboard, chalk.
