Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

Companies have been able to transfer purchase orders
electronically since the 1960s through a system known as

• Affordability: Many companies that previously couldn’t afford ERP
systems can now afford to lease it through an ASP
• Khả năng :Nhiều Cty trước đây đã không đủ khả năng để sử dụng HT
ERP thì bây giờ có thể đủ khả năng để hợp đồng thuê nó qua ASP

• Shorter implementation times: Implementation time is shorter because
the company does not have to purchase hardware and software and
train technical staff
• Thời gian cải tiến :Thời gian cải tiến ngắn hơn bởi vì cty không phài
mua phần cứng và phần mềm và huấn luyện nhân viên
• Expertise: ASPs are more likely to be able to hire and retain competent
technical personnel than a small company can

• No frills: An ASP may not be willing to support 3 rd party software
or develop custom applications (e.g. ABAP programs)
