I/ Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to : Know and use correctly countable and
uncountable quantifiers: a lot, a little, a few to talk about food. Read a text about
farming and getting further practice in a lot, a little, a few
- Vocabulary: - Review Words relate to food and drink: rice, egg, potatoes,
tomatoes, onions, vegetables, fruit
- a little, a few, to grow, to produce, animals, buffalo, cow,…
- Grammar : some, a lot of, a few + countable noun
Some, a lot of, a little + uncountable noun
- Skills: listening, reading skills.
II/ Preparation:
- Materials: Text book, work book and lesson plan
- Equipments: pictures, cassette, tape

A. Warm- up
A1.Listen and repeat
Students are asked to play game net-work about countable and uncountable nouns
T: Uses pictures and some real things as chalk, pens, books, water to identify the
meanings and usage of the quantifiers, some, a few, a little, a lot of.
S look at what the teacher shows and notice the meanings as well as the usage of
quantifiers .

- Ss look at A2, then guess the job of the man in the picture.

many"

I/ Objectives:

- Skills: listening skill.
II/ Preparation:
- Materials: Text book, work book and lesson plan
- Equipments: pictures, cassette, tape
III/ Teaching process:
1. Class organization.
2.Checking old lesson.
Students are asked to tell about Mr. Hai. They are asked to answer some questions

A. Warm- up: - Name the things in the picture
- Guess which picture use some, a few, a little, a lot of
B. Presentation
A3.Listen and write the letter of the picture under the right heading
Students are asked to look at the pictures in the text book .They are asked to
identify which is countable noun and uncountable noun.
Teacher has students listen and write the quantifiers after having them guessing.

Section B : Pollution
Lesson3 (B1)
I/ Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: Give advice about protecting the
environment
- Vocabulary: environment, coal, gas, trash, power, ocean, to destroy, to waste, to
pollute
- Grammar: too much + uncountable noun, the present progessive tense
- What are we doing to our environment?
- We are destroying the forests.
- Skills: listening, reading skills.
II/ Preparation:
- Materials: Text book, work book and lesson plan
- Equipments: pictures, cassette, tape

III/ Teaching process:
1. Class organization.
2.Checking old lesson.- Sudents are asked to write new words.
3.New lesson
A. Warm- up: - Teacher has students play game:

- Ss look at the picture. Then speak about its problem.

- Ask Ss to answer the given questions.
- Give the right ones:
- Call some Ss to read the text aloud.

I/ Objectives:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Use "should" & "shouldn't" to talk
about the activities to protect the environment.Give advice about environment .
- Vocabulary: - Review: trash, grass, bottle, cans, wild flowers
- to pick up, to throw, to damage, to collect, to save, to turn off,
should, shouldn’t
- Grammar: - Command: - Don’t throw trash. Keep off the grass.
- Advice: - We should save water. We shouldn’t waste it.
- Skills: Listening and reading skills.
II/ Preparation:
- Materials: Text book, work book and lesson plan
- Equipments: pictures, cassette, tape
III/ Teaching process:
1. Class organization.
2.Checking old lesson.- Through the warm- up stage.

I/ Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: Talk about the activities to protect the
environment in Vietnam.

- Skills: speaking skill.
II/ Preparation:

- Materials: Text book, work book and lesson plan
- Equipments: pictures.
III/ Teaching process:
1. Class organization.
2.Checking old lesson.
- Teacher has students look at some problems about the environment and has
students make up sentences.
3.New lesson
A. Warm- up - Students are asked to play game: Brainstorming.
- What you do to protect the environment
B. Presentation - Name the activities and things in the pictures (on page 172)
+ Practice
B5.Practice using should and shouldn’t with a partner. Write rules for the pictures
- Ss look at the pictures. Then write sentence for each.
- Ss exchange their answers with their partners.
- Call some Ss to give answers.
- Correct the mistakes and give the right ones:

c. We shouldn't damage trees.
d. We should collect cans and bottles.
e. We shouldn't pick up the flowers
4. Consolidation:
