1/ Word cue drill
Run through models /structures

notebooks.Then do the
exercise in pairs.

- Ask Ss to make questions with "Why" and
answer with "Because…" in pairs, using the
pictures and the word cues given on page 37.
Eg:
S1: Why did Hoa go to school late this morning?
S2: Because she watched TV. late last night.
- Let Ss work in pairs.
- Call on some pairs to do before the class.
b. Why did Nam have to cook dinner?
- Because his Mom came home late.
c. Why was Mrs. Vui home late?
- Because she had to come to see his
grandmother.
d. Why did Ha fail the English test?
- Because she didn't learn for the exam, she
played computer games.
e. Why didn't Nga go to the movie theater?
- Because she had to clean the kitchen and
sweep the living-room.
III/ Home work:
